My favourite selection is back  Looking at the names, I'm pleased to see Lindita is back as I truly believe with a killer song she can win, and it's nice to see Flaka, Rezarta and Dilan back. Xhesika is gonna be a powerhouse and so will Classic Boys so they're ones to watch. Oh and Edea  No Erga?  ? My favourite of the last two years didn't make it this time  |

What are the dates for it? I'm getting ready for th hype  I'm not so sure, but it will be in the same week as Christmas. Looking at the song titles I guess there will be lots of ballads. Like ballads are something new in FIK. |

Like ballads are something new in FIK. Is it like that? I never cared (and probably never will) about it in any way - just like most preselections. Oooooooh yes. Most uptempos go to Kënga Magjike instead. |

Oooooooh yes. Most uptempos go to Kënga Magjike instead. They should start a cooperation in that case. That isn't a bad idea at all, but the problem is RTSH. Their minds is still in the middle of 20th century and without any hope to realize we are in 2017 (almost). For instance, Lindita Halimi came to FIK2014 with a great uptempo song and she was third, while the winner was Elhaida with a really dull ballad. Later Elhaida changed the song and took a song which was meant to be for Lindita and we all know how it ended in Vienna. FIK2015 - two modern songs ("Infinit" and "S’je për mu") ended up behind "Perralle". And we all know what happened with "Perralle"/"Fairytale". And TBH, the public jury wouldn't be introduced if they didn't flopped so hard in recent years. Eventhough the public jury is still easy to bribe. |

The problem is that they are using what is regarded as a cultural Albanian icon to select their Eurovision song. FiK will never conform to ESC because just like Sanremo it is a standalone event on its own and has greater importance in Albanian culture than just being 'the Eurovision preselection'. They aren't exactly the richest broadcaster either so they can't spend thousands of dollars on a show that Albanians aren't invested in (ESC ratings aren't good there). And your idea that I'm Alive was meant to be for Lindita is ridiculous. Elhaida was going to win no matter how shit her song was going to be as she's a legend there, the song was written in three days after the whole competition took place anyway and if you say that because she wrote the lyrics she never did, she just translated the English adaptation  As I said before, RTSH is not the problem; their problem is trying to conform to Eurovision by morphing what they have. In terms of their song selections they are like Italy in that their winning songs are unique and have the potential to do well, but they feel obliged to change the song which really does ruin it. I agree Albania does need to modernise their entries, but there is a difference between modernising a song and revamping it entirely. |

RTSH has today announced that Edona Vatoci, who was suppose to compete with "Mirëmëngjës" (Good Morning), has been withdrawn from the competition.
The reason being that it was revealed that "Mirëmëngjës" was actually performed before September 1st.
Edona Vatoci has now been replaced with Xhejni Lito, with her song "Pritija" (Expectations).
