It was hard for me to choose something...I could have gone for the safe choice and pick George Michael but I don't want to do it, because I guess that only 1 entry of him was enough tribute...So, I will go for someone considered to be among the most significant Cypriot musicians of all time (if not the most significant even). Despite having been mainly a composer, Marios Tokas will represent Cyprus with one of the most emotional songs he's ever written (the version I am sending is a rare studio version of him singing the song). Marios Tokas - I Diki Mou I Patrida The title (Η δική μου η πατρίδα) means 'My own homeland'. The lyrics in the chorus are: My own homeland is split into 2 parts, Which of the 2 parts should I love? They refer to the Turkish invasion in 1974 which caused the creation of 2 zones in Cyprus, the Northern part claiming its independence and being only recognized as an independent nation by Turkey. Marios Tokas wrote many songs referring to this tragic incident, as he was serving in the Cypriot army during the invasion. I really hope you can appreciate this entry and even like it as much as I do. It's a really emotional entry that brings back many memories.

10 editions ago I sent a Juan Gabriel in the special edition, due to his recent death as a tribute to him, and now that I'm given the chance, I really want to send him yet again. Juan Gabriel passed away last year at the age of 66 and was an iconic singer and songwriter, who was easily the most loved one by the Mexican people, a total of 40,000 people went to his funeral. A tale of revival:Juan Gabriel was out of the big scene during the first years of the 2010's, and in 2014, he got a very strong attack of pneumonia, in which most of his fans feared he would lose to it. However, in 2015, Juan Gabriel released a new album, out of nowhere, ''revamping'' some of his most iconic old songs in duet with several big music stars, which made him peak everywhere yet again, like a phoenix from the ashes In 2015 he released yet another album with the same concept as the last one, and finally in 2016, released just a little before he passed away, he released an album with a lot of songs with the music of an amazing orchestra. Because of this, even tho most of his music was released during the 80's, this generation also greatly appreciates his work. And personally I had never seen him stronger than the couple of years before he left us. He has always been my mom's favorite singer as well So it's an honor to me to announce that our representative for this special edition will be, once again, the one and only Juan Gabriel! This time it's with one of my favorite songs by him, as he tells the story of how after meeting a person who he thought loved him, his life went downhill: Juan Gabriel - Hasta Que Te Conocí (until I met you)
Timeslot: 5:35+

Hungary returns with a rather popular, iconic singer of the country. Jimmy Zámbó. Nicknamed as the King in the country. He commited suicide in 2001. His songs also usually took a rather depressed tone probably foreshadowing his fate. Although the song that the country will send is a rather upbeat song. Zámbó Jimmy - Bye Bye Lány time: from 0:45
