you should have reminded everybody about the deadline instead of keeping it to yourself. If you let other people fall, you probably shouldn't host this contest at all. Take responsibility for once. But the provisional deadline (10th) was posted twice  ? So if llemian had taken responsibility as well, he would've posted an entry by last week, no matter he's hosting a NS or not Maybe there should have been a reminder, but in the end everyone has to be responsible for himself |

A provisional date can change and an exact date was not given at any point during the confirmation phase. I did take responsibility and allowed my NS to run for only 7 days from when my National Selection was approved. |

To be very honest, there was a provisional deadline posted twice here, and The White Havens should have kept contact with both of those.
And even if the deadline wasn't OFFICIALLY on the 10th of June, wasn't it hard to ask anyone from the council about the new deadline, if asking the first time wasn't as hard?
Making a selection on the provisional deadline wasn't really a smart move either if you ask me.
It's sad to see a country go like this, but if you can't follow rules, you are bound to be punished in the end.

Ive had a week and I have my entry. I have really made an effort to get involved with the contest and the news and really updated my wikia page for the White Havens. I have tried to get involved. All I ask is to allow me this Your activity of the last 7 editions was as lively as your forum survivor roleplay LMFAO ILY Looks like we have more unfair hosts in our midst  |

Regardless, the provisional deadline of June 10 should have been noted by all, and between then and now people who were yet to announce an entry should have managed their time better, which thankfully the majority did. This whole fiasco is the consequence of not managing your time better. And the hosts are not to blame - people caught on to the fact that the deadline would be fast approaching and that today was the last day, not to mention the fact that there were 7 days added too which is more than enough extra time, especially as this was impromptu. Deadline or no deadline, virtually everyone sent an entry. Plus  The White Havens' NS was, as Llemian himself said, due to close at around this time. Using more initiative would have prevented this from happening, as well as the other two strikes gained previously. |

Nonetheless you cannot (well shouldn't) randomly close a contest without an official deadline, it is about being fair to all players. I know that others were putting their entries in and if given the chance i'd have posted my entry up over 40 minutes ago but it seems that it was a perfect opportunity to see me kicked rather than joined. I waited days for my NS to be approved and at that point it should've been clear how long I had to which 'every' host failed to announce a decision on that. I was always checking to see if an announcement would've been made. Initiatve does not prepare for on the spot closures and as joenj said [You should have reminded everybody about the deadline instead of keeping it to yourself.] If there was a clear written deadline then yes i own up but all that was said was ....... 'The song deadline is provisionally set for June 10, although this is not confirmed yet.' |
