 FOXTAVIA CONFIRMS AND IS READY TO REVEAL ITS ENTRY
After Yasmeen's non-qualification last edition FOXTV decided to get rid of the national selection and go internal instead. After receiving tons of submissions, FOXTV is proud to announce that the following duo will represent Foxtavia in the eight edition of Fantasia Contest:K.I.D
K.I.D is a Foxtavian alternative rock band created in 2014 by Kara Lane and Bobby Lo. In high school, singer Kara Lane and her friend Bobby Lo enjoyed smoking cigarettes during class hours. Lane and Lo turned their relationship into ideas around cravings and desires. Kara appeared as the band's front woman because of her vocal range and stage presence. Bobby finds his voice as a lyricist and began drafting songs about sexual frustration, acne, nihilism and his struggle with clinical depression. They released their debut EP "K.I.D" in 2014. After that K.I.D searched for a producer to help them craft a garage-style album that can resonate with a generation in search of non-traditional bands. As a result, the band meets with Mike Crossey, producer of The 1975, Wolf Alice, Arctic Monkeys and Foals infamy. The producer liked the song “I Wish I Was Your Cigarette” and met K.I.D at a show to express his interest. The band released in 2015, their new single “Errors”, as a follow-up to their indie hit “I Wish I Was Your Cigarette.” In 2016 they released their 2nd EP ''Poster Child'', which includes the song ''Taker'', which will be the Foxtavian entry in Fantasia Contest #8.

By2 will represent Meili!
 After the flop of the Meilinese supergroup, MLTV will be turning to the popular twin duo Miko and Yumi, aka By2, to represent the People's Republic on the Fantasia Contest stage. The girls have released 7 studio albums in Meili, all of which have received top 5 positions on the national music charts. Most recently, their remix album spawned two number one singles with the tracks "Peach Blossom Cheongsam" and "Love and Love", though both were seen as "inappropriate" for the contest. Rumours circulating Meilinese state-run newspapers suggest that the nation was planning to withdraw from the contest until By2 approached MLTV on flying the flag for the Meilinese people.
The twins will sing their dance anthem "No Reason" at the contest.
