Imo this semi is much stronger than the other one on Tuesday. There are so many songs I need to see qualifying for Saturday. The only ones I don't are Lights and Shadows (too boring), Spirit of the night, Rain of Revolution (both very bad - also a song written by Ralph Siegel isn't the best sign in 2017 - even in Eurovision).

Netherlands, Belarus, San Marino & Lithuania most likely have the smallest chance on qualifying, although Lithuania could surprise, as they sometimes do, when no one's expecting them to... other 14 songs have more or less equal chances... But I will say that Ireland, Malta and Croatia have also small chances... we'll see... even though I will only watch the qualifier announcement, because I will watch hockey v in first place!

The only definite qualifiers from this semi-final are the Netherlands, Hungary and Bulgaria. The only definite non-qualifier would be San Marino... the rest IS SO FUCKING OPEN I WANNA CRY

Quite unpredictable and really open semi final tonight! Let's see what happens! Good luck to everyone competing in there! Oh, just for the record, have you guys heard about the interview Koit and Laura gave to a Finnish journalist? I think they made a huge foul by expressing their negative surprise about the Greek and the Cypriot qualification from the 1st Semi Final. I guess they could have just kept their opinion for themselves and it's really not professional to say something like that and then act as if you're in the spirit of Eurovision, which is all about meeting new artists and bringing them closer. I know it's a competitive contest after all but stating your opinion even before the contest is over is actually not nice towards the other artists that might feel insulted by your own statements about their songs/performances. You can read the article HERE. It's in Finnish apparently but Google Translate gives a nice translation, surprisingly

You can read the article HERE. It's in Finnish apparently but Google Translate gives a nice translation, surprisingly I don't think Laura meant to be negative towards Greece and Cyprus, although she didn't have say who didn't deserve to qualify. Also If I remember correctly, Conchita said to a Finnish journalist that PKN's non-qualification surprised her and she wondered how they didn't qualify from the semi-final, although she didn't say any countries etc. And yes, Conchita liked Aina mun pitää Or she just flattered to the journalist. Edit: Btw, our commentator did it way worse. He immediately questioned Cypriot qualification and after Belgium was revealed to be the last qualifier, he felt sorry for Blanche that she has to perform again.

Edit: Btw, our commentator did it way worse. He immediately questioned Cypriot qualification and after Belgium was revealed to be the last qualifier, he felt sorry for Blanche that she has to perform again. Well, I've actually read that she was rather "upset" mainly because of Finland having stayed out (which is something I actually agree with but you are right, she shouldn't have said anything about the others). I didn't know that about Conchita! Wow, she actually liked PKN! This is interesting actually Really no comments about your commentator. That was just too mean. Like seriously, it's just so rude to make such comments. I guess a commentator should be neutral with every single country, just a a bit more positive towards their own one. It's kind of weird because Finland is not one of those countries that have bad relations with anyone (like for example Armenia with Azerbaijan). However, I remember from back when Turkey were taking part, our commentator never really showed any negativity against them
