 Liechtenstein will not participate amidst delegation reform
1FLTV, Liechtenstein's national broadcaster has confirmed that the country will not be present at the upcoming edition of NVSC due to the changes in the delegation. Bronson LiechtenSteiner has been appointed the new HoD, and resources have been focused on the transition rather than finding a song.
The country is expected to return the following edition. |

49 PARTICIPANTS IN STOCKHOLM!
The confirmation deadline has passed and forty-nine countries have confirmed their participation in Sweden.
Georgia, Iceland, Luxembourg,  Malta, Monaco, Portugal and Slovenia have confirmed their return to the contest, while last edition's host Bulgaria, Croatia, Ireland, Latvia and Lebanon are withdrawing.
Ireland was forced to withdraw after failing to announce details about their participation and therefore nick will receive one strike.
Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Moldova and the host country Sweden have confirmed their participation and will therefore be pre-qualified for the final.
Bosnia & Herzegovina, FYR Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Romania, Russia and Switzerland will have to take part in the Pre-Qualification Round, fighting for the remaining four semi-final spots. |

ANNOUNCEMENT - NATIONAL SELECTION CANCELLATION
British Broadcasting Corporation are sad to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances, the current National Selection for NVSC for the British entry will be CANCELLED and nulled/void. The event may potentially happen for the next edition but this edition, there are too many factors linking to it.
Real reason: I've just moved to Beijing and I'm just settling into my job, after 5 years of teaching, this is my first ever job where I'm not teaching English but drama and I'm working with an international team of teachers from Zimbabwe, Ukraine, USA, UK, Russia and of course - China. I want to get a good start to my job and settle in well, knowing how the system works etc, so I will need more personal time.  I'm sh00k! 41 songs are now trash? |

Artist Announcement We are happy to present you the Swiss artist tonight!
She is a real talent in her business and is well known in the German speaking parts of Europe It's Beatrice Egli! Born in the beautiful town of Pfäffikon in the canton of Schwyz in 1988, she is one of the biggest stars in the Schlager scene of Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
After reaching several positions in the charts of Switzerland in the early 2010's she applied in 2013 for the German casting show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" and won the whole show.
With her growing fanbase she is now a big voice in her business and we are happy that she is participating for Switzerland in the next edtion of North Vision Song Contest! |
