Guys don't expect too much of Solomon Islands all they have is boring reggae and gospel music But yeah I'm really excited what they will bring as well and if they have any chance to not get last... They could have their song made by Swedish composers, as if certain European country hasn't done this all of its history Azerbaijan has the money to do so, I doubt Solomon Islands have

There's a couple things going on in the back of my mind about this entire thing.
One - it's going to be a HARD SELL to get established artists in the major markets to sing in this contest. Part of it is due to the name (I know we've already gone over this) but who in Asia wants to invest money in a sub-contest to a European creation (Eurovision)? Moreover, will the Asian public buy into it? I'd think most artists and countries would want to win in something of their own creation, or at least market it as such. I like to dream big, too, but it just doesn't strike me as a thing that Sarah Geronimo or Girls Generation are aching to put on their resume.
Two - if you think the political voting in Europe is bad... lol well, do you think China is ever going to vote for Taiwan or Hong Kong if they compete independently? Do you think India would ever vote for Pakistan or China? I'd hope they find a way around this and be a bit stricter if they use the same voting system.
Finally - and this won't be known for a long time, but I wonder what other differences and changes would take place? Again I just have a hard time seeing this be a carbon copy of Eurovision AND be successful, since Eurovision developed with European tastes in mind.
Just my opinions... don't kill me

Solomon Islands actually has a really close population to Montenegro ( 611,343) ( 628,960) Solomon has even a bigger population than Malta, and they always have a selection with around 20 singers every year, so Solomon has got to have at least one interested singer.
