Aquia, Evergreen, Juliana, Lakadamia, Moly-Boronia and Sirenforest to present their entries together next Saturday!
Today it was announced that Rede Globo, EBC, TéleJuli, TRLK and ARFA and SFTV would announce together their entries of their countries (Aquia, Evergreen, Juliana, Lakadamia, Moly-Boronia and Sirenforest) for the thirteenth edition of the Fantasia Contest.
The entry of Aquia, for the first time in seven editions, has been selected internally. The entry of the debuting country Moly-Boronia has also been selected internally.
The entry of Lakadamia is being selected through Es Lakādami Voçéam (A Lakadamian Voice), their national selection (click here if you want to vote). The winner will be revealed in the show. |

 LGY Confirms Llortish Participation As of 16 August 2018, Llortish national broadcaster LGY has confirmed the country's participation in the 13th Fantasia Contest. The success of Vienna Teng's qualification in the 12th Fantasia Contest drew in Llort's highest viewing figures in the Grand Final. The general consensus in Llortish social media wishes for Llortish participation in the subsequent edition. Despite demands for a national final by fans, an LGY spokesperson announces that an act has already been selected. The spokesperson added that a national final is in consideration if the broadcaster finds the time and money to produce a well-organized program in the future.
The spokesperson hints that LGY's internally selected act will be "out of this world." Another hint provided by the spokesperson mentioned "CEC," a Llortish abbreviation standing for cinortcele ecnad cisum. The next Llortish act will be revealed within a few weeks time.

Prunia is not coming back. Prunian broadcaster Prunia TV announced today that they will not participate in Fantasia Contest #13 to be held in the microstate of  Baesnia.
They also stated that we will not see them back to the competition in the near future either.
A spokesman of the broadcaster explained that Prunia TV has no interest anymore in the song contest which does not fit their programme schedule.
 Prunia participated ten times in Fantasia Contest. The 14th place in the 5th edition remains the best result they achieved.
Last time the country participated was in the 11th edition with Ana Zimmer who failed to qualify and finished 10th in the third semi-final with her song "I got the balls". I thought a lot during the last weeks and I realised that I lost interest in the song competition itself over time.
When I think that there are many people who wait to debut, while I personally lost all motivation, I feel like it wouldn't be very fair to keep my spot. That's why I decided to withdraw permanently after exactly 3 years of participations.
However, I will keep my country and continue to roleplay. The possibility to stay in the Fantasia World despite the song contest withdrawal is mostly what convinced me to take my decision. DANSKANKSOVA CONFIRMS
In spite of the bad result brought back home by Wild Belle (last in the Final), DURT has announced that the country will participate at the upcoming Fantasia Contest.
However, some changes have been announced in the format of the ”BLEND” National Selection. The two semi-finals will not consist of New-Comers and Legends anymore, but of entries sent by local TV stations from the Dansk regions - Burg Bognovi, Urban Nova, Kuloar, Vasarova, Dankia, Zmorjem, Ivat, Vrancioaia, Bedio and Dan Saat. While big artists like Jenni Vartiainen, Oh Land and Daughter tweeted that they would like to come back, some other not-so-well-known singer such as Little Dragon, Bonzai and Laurel were spotted near the arena during pre-eliminary rehearsels.

De Vremdspongeln confirms its participation in the upcoming edition Earlier this week, rumours of the country's withdraw were circling around the Vremd media, and these rumours were indeed proven to be true, after a press conference was held by the broadcaster to clarify the situation. Until today, the fans and the public had no idea whether our participation in the contest was on the cards or not. Due to the deadline being really close, everyone was worried about the outcome of this situation. However, today the Head of Delegation made a live appearance at the news programme on De Vremd 1, and made the following speech:
More information about the entry is expected to come later, however fans and the public in general were thrilled to hear the news and are really excited to find out the next representative of the country. In a poll made earlier on the social media Rawr, 79% of the voters wanted to see De Vremdspongeln to be present in the 13th edition of the contest, meaning that taking part means a lot to the citizens.
A person close to the broadcaster posted these keywords on Rawr:
The post was soon taken down and the account was deactivated, but speculations spread like wildfire on the website.
