Hello, participants of Retro WWW Song Contest!
As you might have noticed, this time I didn't ask you for Special Edition theme suggestions.
Based on the theme submissions and votes from the previous decade, I decided to use the runner-up theme.
It has been very close throughout the theme selection for edition #50, it had even tied at the tie-breaker.
The last months I had the chance to think about how it would be executed, and here is what I have come up with.
Suggestion pairs
1. Everyone will be given a country/player with whom they will pick each other's entries. In the case of an uneven amount of players in the special edition, there will be one* group of 3.
2. Everyone will pick 3-5 songs, without knowing who their pair is. The songs will be sent to me and I will reveal the country with the songs to the other country. Then the other country has to pick one of the songs, that song will represent the initial country. And vice versa.
3. Each player has to pick at least 3 and at the most 5 songs from their country. Three of them must be by different artists. If they pick 4 or 5, one or two artists can reappear, respectively; one artist can appear twice at the most.
4. After everyone knows who they are paired with, the pairs will be announced to the public.
5. OPTIONAL: I got some remarks last time about this being »too easy«. In case you do find it too easy, I've come up with another option.
Instead of looking for songs from your own country, you can search for songs from your paired country.
In this case, you will learn your pair as soon as the draw is made. Same rules apply 3-5 songs, while 3 have to be from different artists.
A single artist cannot appear 3 times. Even knowing the pair, you still need to send the songs to me, and I will mediate them to the respective player.
6. Firstly, you'll have to confirm participation and furthermore say if you want the second option. You can say: I want the harder option, the second option, option B…
If you don't say anything, you will be considered for the first option.
7. I'd like to encourage you to suggest songs from different artists (male, female, bands), different genres and different decades.
8. If anything is unclear, message me or ask in the thread. I will gladly answer.
*Or one per each option if needed.
Summary
Option A: Player picking this option, will send me a list of 3-5 songs (as potential entries for the Special Edition). The songs will be sent to whoever you were paired with. They will pick one song, that will represent you. You will receive 3-5 songs from that country as well, and you will pick one song that will represent them.
Option B: The player will be paired with a country. They will learn their pair via messages. If you pick this option, you have to search for 3-5 songs from your paired country and send them to me. I will send them to the player and their task will be to pick one of the songs. They will search for songs from your country and you will get a list of 3-5 songs from which you can pick one that will represent your country.
For both options: The songs have to be by at least 3 different artists. Artists can only re-appear if more than 3 songs are suggested. In the case of 5 songs, two artists may appear twice.

) that this topic could indeed be very hard for some participants, but I am really happy that with some amendments this theme will be chosen for a special edition.

) and the country you get paired with, for example 
, gets to pick the entry for me out of those 5 songs i pick and the other way around? 
Because that's the only "special one" from the 2 offered.
