 ELINBORG TO REPRESENT DÝRIA!
After an intense edition of Dýrska Söngkeppnin, which had a super-final for the first time, we have found our winner. With 55.56% of the vote, Elinborg will officially be the 14th Dýrian representative, winning with just 2 votes over  Menke.
Elinborg (stylized as ELINBORG) known as Elinborg Pálsdóttir, is a singer from Eilísoyggj, an island just off the coast of Sjóborg, with a population of less than 95 people, and was born into a  Dýrian-Dansk family. She has been performing since an early age, and released her first EP in 2015 with 4 songs in her native language, Sjólandic. In 2017, she won the Best Live Sjólandic Act of the Year award at the Dýrian Music Awards.
She is also the sister of famous Dýrian-Dansk singer Eivør, and has taken inspiration from her sister to create music and to try take part in Fantasia. This was her first attempt to represent Dýria, and since DRTV accepts Sjólandic language songs, she took the opportunity to take part in the national selection.
After her win, she was asked by Nene Leakes about her victory, and she stated that:
I am shocked but excited about my victory in the national selection. I never would have thought that I would be one of the two acts that could potentially represent Dýria. I made it to the final as the Sjólandic representative, and managed to win the super-final against Menke. I have to say that I am very excited for the upcoming edition, and to represent my country on the world stage, regardless of the result!
2nd place Menke also commented on the result, stating that:
I am very happy for ELINBORG's victory tonight. As for me, I came so close that I can't be disappointed. The journey has just begun for me, and it won't stop here.
With ELINBORG's victory, this means that Dýria will send a song not in Everish for the 3rd consecutive edition. Furthermore, this will be the 2nd time in a row that Sjólandic will be sent to the contest. ELINBORG will have to participate in one of the 3 semi-finals to hopefully secure a spot in the final.

 IT'S ESBEN AND THE WITCH FOR DECORIA! Decoria has revealed their entry during Super Sunday, the last reveal show for Fantasia Contest 14. The Decorian entry was revealed to be "The Unspoiled" performed by Decorian band Esben and the Witch.  WHO ARE ESBEN AND THE WITCH? Esben and the Witch are a Decorian three piece rock band formed in Norfort in 2008. Consisting of Rachel Davies (vocals, bass), Thomas Fisher (guitar), and Daniel Copeman (drums, electronics - formerly guitar). Their name comes from the Decorian fairytale, "Esben and the Witch". The band's music has been described from "electronic dubstep soundscapes" to "perfect gothic pop". The band themselves once described their music as "nightmare pop" around the release of the '33' but have attempted to avoid genre classification since. After a self-released 33 EP in 2009 and a limited seven-inch single "Lucia, at the Precipice" in February 2010, the band signed with Matador Records. The band's debut single for the label, "Marching Song", was released in October 2010, followed by their debut album Violet Cries in January 2011. The band's second album, Wash the Sins Not Only the Face, was released in January 2013. In June 2014 the band announced their third album A New Nature, the first to be released on their own Nostromo Records label.The band signed to independent  Everish metal label, Season of Mist, in July 2016 and the same year they released their fourth album Older Terrors. A month ago, their fifth album called Nowhere was released. Listen to the entry below!
