Aquia will participate in the contest!
Today, the Aquian broadcaster, Rede Globo, confirmed their confirmation in the fifteenth edition of the Fantasia Contest. Days ago, it was announced that due to the events regarding the Aquian entry in the fourteenth edition a withdrawal was considered. Despite the participation, the broadcaster is still unhappy with these events.
Festival da Canção will be the method used to select the Aquian entry this edition.
Ten entries will participate in a final and three of them will advance to a super-final.

Aquia has participated in the Fantasia Contest thirteen times since its debut in the first edition. Since then it has never missed any edition. Despite staying in the semi-finals for the first consecutive editions, Aquia achieved its first qualification in the seventh edition with Noga Erez's entry "Pity" and its first victory in Söndje, Danskanksova, with Eva Simons' entry, "Guaya". The contest is broadcasted in Aquia by Rede Globo.
Aquia's debut entry was Purity Ring with "Bodyache". It was not a successful debut for the country, with Purity Ring coming fourteenth in the semi-final. Since then, Aquia has come last in the semi-finals one single occasion, in the second edition, when Anitta sang "Na Batida". Prior to their victory for Eva Simons, with the song "Guaya" in the ninth edition, Aquia's best result in the contest was a twenty-first finish for Noga Erez in the seventh edition. The tenth edition was hosted in Rio de Fevereiro, the capital city of Aquia. In that edition, the country was represented by Luísa Sobral who sang "João", ending up in a surprising fourteenth place in the final. In the eleventh edition, Sevdaliza was selected to represent the country with the song "Human", which finished in the third place of the final. As an automatic qualifier, Priscilla Alcântara represented Aquia in the twelfth edition with the song "Liberdade", finishing fourteenth for a second time. In the thirteenth edition, ROSALÍA sang "De Plata", achieving a fifth place. As an automatic qualifier, "Vou Gritar" is currently representing Aquia in the fourteenth edition,
Aquia has failed to reach the final seven times, including from the first edition to the sixth edition. In the ninth edition, Aquia reached the finals with Eva Simons' entry, "Guaya", ending a 1-edition non-appearance in the final, since Inês Brasil didn't qualify to the final with her worldwide hit "Make Love". To conclude a return to the final, they also won the contest for the first time ever, earning 460 points.
