 EDGÉ is over, Achróa to go internalTrangueli • 31 January
In an unexpected move from the Achróan broadcaster, STA has announced that the results of EDGÉ are now rendered null and void after the broadcaster found evidence of vote tampering.
A spokesperson for STA said: "Normally, we would continue the national selection in such cases, but this time we are unable to assure the public that we cannot prevent this from happening in the near future, and with such a small amount of time until we announce the results, we simply cannot say the results of EDGÉ will be viable, hence we have decided to cancel this national selection."Consequently, none of the six songs in the current edition of EDGÉ will participate for Achróa in the fifteenth edition, and that STA will revert to an internal selection. Thankfully for Achróan fans of the contest, STA had already prepared an internal entrant and song for emergency cases like that aforementioned. Rumours circulating around the fanbase suggest the song will be a "previous hit" and a "typical Achróan choice."
The entry will be revealed, per tradition, immediately after the results of the fourteenth edition on February 3! |

 Aquia cancels Festival da Canção
Following the steps of the Achróan broadcaster STA, the Aquian broadcaster Rede Globo has decided to cancel its national selection for the fifteenth edition of the Fantasia Contest as well.
Rede Globo made an official announcement through several Twatts:
"We are very sad to announce that Festival da Canção 15 has officially been canceled. Despite the very good reception of the selection at first, its ratings were not as high expected, and Rede Globo has decided that none of the entrants of the selection will sing in the next Fantasia Contest stage. This is also because two entries officially withdrew from the competition and the stability of the format was threatened.
Another promising artist has already been internally selected, but there's a possibility for the entry to be chosen through a national selection. We apologize for the inconvenience and the instability the Aquian broadcaster has been showing at selecting their entries since last edition."
Rede Globo has also announced that the song will be in Aquian. |

Anna Michaela Ebba Electra von Hausswolff (born 6 September 1986 in Amidét) is an Achróan singer, pianist, organist and songwriter.
Dead Magic, her latest album, was a massive success in Achróa and her single The Mysterious Vanishing of Electra was a massive success in the archipelago. Additionally, in her early days she also opened for  Lykke Li in her concerts here.
It is yet another long piece, which STA recognises is a significant risk. Longer entries, in general, do not tend to do well; but STA believes it is necessary to send such lengthy songs in order to promote the Achróan music scene.

 LLORT CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION
After several unfavorable editions of poor results by the Serican country, Llort will continue to participate in the Fantasia Contest for the 15th edition. Jai Wolf, the Llortish act of the thirteenth edition and the Ondurian act of the fourteenth, expressed extra disappointment about his consecutive non-qualifications. It has been reported that he "won't return to FC for now."
LGY Presents...
Llort Rats, which is Llort Star in Everish, will be the new selection method for the Llortish entry. Acts from various parts of Llort and maybe beyond have been asked to take part in the hopes of representing Llort in the Fantasia Contest. An interesting aspect of this national selection is that if certain entries are deemed popular enough, they may have a chance to participate in the selection again. Entries have up to three tries to be selected for Llort. After that, entries will be considered retired.
This selection will first be implemented with the intention of selecting the Llortish representative for the 15th edition of FC; the results will be determined by public voting for now. LGY hopes to get a massive voting turnout after months of demand for a national selection to be held in a country so diverse musically.
LGY has confirmed that after weeks of deliberation, ten acts have been selected to compete. A spokesperson hinted that "these acts range from as far north as Bajnup and as far out as Pacifica." Once approval for participation of all ten acts has been finalized, the show will be ready to go.
More updates will be made in a later time.

OYINDA TO REPRESENT EVERGREEN
 Melody Evergreen has concluded for the 15th edition and Evergreen's representative has been found.
Oyinda won the grand final with 14.3% of the televote, ahead of Marika Hackman, Timber Timbre and NAO, who all, coincidentally, received 13.0% of the vote.

Oyinda is an Everish-Ka'an R&B and electronic soul singer and songwriter. Originally born in 1992 in Ka'a and Kehbe, she moved to Crystalfall in 2013 to start a career in music.
Her debut single, "Rush of You", was released in July 2014 to some critical acclaim, but mostly remained unnoticed by the general public. It wasn't until 2016 and the release of her Restless Minds EP and a performance at the Bushkate Song Festival that she received widespread media attention and her EP peaked in the top 10 of the Everish Official Charts.
Oyinda writes and produces most of her own music, and has also written and mostly self-produced "Never Enough". "It's a big opportunity for me," said Oyinda after her win. "Performing on the Fantasia stage will be a dream come true, and I simply cannot wait."

God Colony and Flohio will perform "Fights" in Fantasia #15.
"Fights" is a track of full-on impact. Flohio slaps you across the face with her fierce flair and fiery thought-provoking lyrics. With God Colony's expert production and the grime artist's attacking vocals, this partnership represents Ka'a and Kehbé's diverse urban culture. Whilst KKBC is taking a risk with an underground rap song, they hope the rest of Fantasia can come to love this other, rawer representation of the country.

Shinkóyù Gónghégwó jíng cànj goutxú érsjxí. The Republic of Shinkoyu will parctipate in the song contest.
A decision by the Entertainment Department of STVR was made that the nation will try once again in then next edition of the contest. Although there is strong negativity from viewers, due to the poor track record of the country, it was been decided that an artist will go ahead.
A search for a singer has been extended outside of the capital and a potential aim to disallow our nation's largest spoken language - Xíngwókyú - to look for a singer from another part of the country.
High interest has been shown from the regions of Mjónkjólí, Vjetnja and parts of Tàij and Vírípèng in Central Shinkoyu. With medium interests from parts of Mjáráxíjá, Áiwá, Ingapo and Shanggang in South Shinkoyu.

Dýrian entry revealed!
After a tragic edition which led to the country getting their worst placing ever, 13th in the semi-final, DRTV will continue to participate and continue to send songs in different Dýrian languages. The HoD stated that:
13th in the semi-final is horrible, but it wasn't last at least. I've said it before that we are very proud of Elinborg for her hard work, and this doesn't define her as an artist. And this won't stop us from showcasing more of our languages and culture, either.
With that being said, the Dýrian entry was also presented this evening on a special edition of Late Night with Nene Leakes, as per usual with internal selections. In 2018, we announced that Samaris would be representing the nation in the 15th edition, and those plans remain unchanged. However, after 6 of their songs were submitted to DRTV, the broadcaster finally came to a decision. Despite the 14th edition just ending, the HoD commented that: We, the delegation, alongside Samaris were very excited to reveal the Dýrian entry, and due to some leaks online at the moment, we decided to just release the song anyway.
Let us present you the official Dýrian entry for the 15th edition:

Speaking on DRTV, the lead singer JFDR commented that while Góða tungl isn't something that Dýria would normally send, the song is a journey for the first time listener. It encompasses our style of music, with interesting beats, atmospheric clarinet melodies and vocals that can't be understood, but will still take the listener on a journey. Not to mention that we also combine our music with haunting lyrics from 19th century Dýrian poems, and that plays a huge part in our songs.

Alkyria confirms!
HGP confirmed its presence in the late evening, after Julia Clara's 11th place in the semifinal.
As for now, the Kingdom vs. Republic will not be used and therefore Alkyria will go towards the internal selection method. Rumours claim that there's a huge possibility for someone to return, or an act from a new region aside the islets or the 2 major cities. |
