Although there were no doubts for the opposite, Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) has just officially announced that Georgia will be present in Switzerland to celebrate the 28th edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
GPB is yet to confirm the mechanism it will use to select its North Vision act and entry for the forthcoming edition. However, it is more than likely that Georgia will stick to its' internal selection method in order to determine its next North Vision hopeful as has been the case in recent editions. The Georgian broadcaster will be revealing further details regarding their participation in due course.
The Georgians have partaken in the contest 24 times, out of which they have only qualified to the Grand Final six times. The Caucasian country has not been very lucky in the competition. Last edition, Anana Kaye defended the Georgian colours at the North Vision Song Contest in Odessa and made the whole country proud with their emotional performance, placing 20th in the final, giving Georgia its' fourth best ever result to date. GPB hopes to continue the successful path and bring their homeland to the final for the third time in a row. It is noteworthy Georgia has never achieved such a streak before. |

not sure wether my original post counted, so...  Estonia confirms!Today, the Estonian broadcaster ERR has confirmed the return of the country to NVSC. The entry will be selected internally. I just cba after 5 failed attempts to do a proper post sorry |

Nazca is a pop-folk, indie band from Lyon, France. Their songs are a unique combination of folk songs, tribal motifs and beautiful vocals. Paradoxical mixing between softness and strength, feeling of life, "birth". And the name of the group "Nazca" is an interpretation of these words from spanish.

 50 COUNTRIES TO TAKE PART! A total of 50 countries are set to take part in the upcoming 28th edition of the North Vision Song Contest, scheduled to take place in  Switzerland. This makes it the 3rd edition in a row to have 50 countries competing in it.  Cyprus, Estonia,  Finland,  Tunisia and  Turkey are all returning to the competition, with Tunisia returning after 12 editions of abscence. 2 countries announced that they would not be competing this edition: the  Czech Republic and  Spain, while 3 other countries were forced to withdraw from the edition:  Egypt,  Poland and  Romania, all for missing the deadline. The NBU has announced that the broadcasters of the 3 countries have received a fine.* The Pre-Qualification 14 is set to take place with 8 countries competing in it and 4 of them qualifying to the edition's semi-finals. * Manos, Mateusz and Lefteris will receive strikes. Egypt will be up for a draw for next edition. Winner of the Pohjoisviisut #28 and the Finnish representative at NVSC #28 is... Amorphis won the national selection with the overall score of 8.21 out 10. They will sing "Amongst Stars" in SwitzerlandAmorphis is a metal band that was founded in 1990. Their singer, Tomi Joutsen has been part of the band since 2005. Amongst Stars will also feature vocals from Anneke van Giersbergen, who is best known as the former lead signer of The Gathering.You can see the full results from the final and from the semi-finals below

ROMANIA CONFIRMS AFTER ALL! TVR has finally confirmed the Romanian participation for NVSC #28 held in Switzerland. After missing the deadline for the confirmation, the Romanian delegation received a lot of messages from the Romanian NVSC fan-base, expressing their desire for the country to participate in the 28th edition. Following discussions with the NBU, it was decided that Romania will indeed be allowed to participate, despite confirming 2 days after the deadline. However, it was clarified that the fine with still have to be paid.
