SLOVENIA CONFIRMS THEIR PARTICIPATION
After a successful 10th place in last edition, RTVSLO has confirmed that Slovenia will continue their journey in the 28th Northvision Song Contest.
The act will once again be selected internally, and will be revealed in due time.

NABILA DALI TO REPRESENT ALGERIA!
Last night during the Arabic Super Saturday show, both the act and the song which are going to represent Algeria in  Switzerland were revealed. It's the Pop-World singer Nabila Dali with "Tidet (The Truth)", an alternative and original song seeking a meeting point between the Berber and the Celtic culture, which influenced her artistic growth. |

 ►  Andorra confirms participation in NVSC #28 ◄Thanks to the 5th place with Nina M and an auto qualification in the twentyeight edition of the contest,  RTVA has confirmed that the country will be present in Switzerland!
Alongside with the confirmation, it has been revealed that Made in Andorra will be once again used to select the andorran representant. Just like the previous national selection, the line-up will be as diverse as possible.

 A FABULOUS RETURN!Yesterday during the Arabic Super Saturday it was revealed that singer-songwriter Emel Mathlouthi would return to the Northvision stage after previously failing to advance to the final back in the fifteenth edition finishing eighteenth in the semi-final.
Emel Mathlouthi is a Tunisian singer-songwriter best known for her protest songs "Ya Tounes Ya Meskina" ("Poor Tunisia") and "Kelmti Horra" ("My Word is Free"), which became anthems for the Tunisian revolution. Her first studio album, also titled Kelmti Horra, was released worldwide by Harmonia Mundi in 2012 to critical acclaim. Her second album, "Ensen", was released by Partisan Records in 2017, also to considerable acclaim. In 2015 she performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony. Emel was titled as Voice of Tunisian Revolution due to her song Kelmti Horra. She will represent the North African country with the song "Footsteps"
May she bring the crown for the first time to Tunisia!

This was and still is the only edition in which Tunisia qualified to the final ending at the 17th place. The editions after weren't doing Tunisia any favours, the country had to endure eight non-qualifications, three of which were pre-qualification round non-qualifications. After so many failures the NBU and the Nessma broadcasting company decided to end the Tunisian participation, starting from the seventeenth edition on.  Brighter days ahead as Italy confirms Betta Lemme's amazing second place result with her electro-infused song "Give It" has ensured Italy's participation and fifth auto-qualification in our Swiss neighbours to the north. Italian media released the following press statement from Rai at 19:49 CEST.
 We are of course delighted and thrilled to have an automatic position in the final due to Betta's amazing result in Odessa, and confirm Italy's participation in the twenty-eighth edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
As we won the tele-vote for the second time in five editions, this shows that the European public is fully able to get behind Italian entries, however it appears that our entries are not able to make as much of a connection with juries across the continent and North Africa. With this in mind, Rai will be aiming for the full package this edition, attempting to aim at both the juries and tele-vote. We are still craving for our second victory and to welcome all Europeans back to Italy for an amazing edition in the near future.
The twenty-eighth edition will see us automatically perform in the final, and for this, we are hopefully planning a very special and unique moment for the competition. The decision as to the Italian selection process has not yet been taken, but we have already received submissions from many established acts as well as newcomers.
