Everything went wrong. Open national selection did not help to improve the result, although some progress has been made. Now France is likely to be in the pre-qualification round. The broadcaster has made a decision.
France will participate in the next edition. The song will be selected by internal selection and announced later.

SELECTION
CONFIRMED After Yianna's forth place in Odessa, and therefore Greece being one of the pre-qualified countries for the twenty-eighth edition of the contest, the Head of Delegation revealed that we are going for another internal selection. After the success of the country, last time being in the twenty-second edition, ERT recieved many submissions for the contest, and after a lot of thinking the Greek entrant have been decided! This time the country will try to succeed once again with a very special approach to the competition, which is hopefully going to be appreciated by the audience!An official date for the entry have not been revealed yet, but it will be soon.  AZERBAIJAN CONFIRMS PARTICIPATIONDespite getting a second to last place in NVSC27, the country has officially confirmed their participation in the upcoming edition which will be presumably hosted in  Switzerland. Some talks are ongoing with several artists who will work along with the broadcaster channel to offer the best of the country in the contest. Information about possible artists or hints about the entry have not been revealed yet. The only thing that has been confirmed is that the entry will be internally selected. |

Ain Sebaa, Casablanca - March 13, 2019 - 0130WEST With this announcement, 2M TV subsequently confirms their participation in the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest in Switzerland - after yet another impressive performance by Morocco the edition before.2M TV has also confirmed that Malca was the alternative choice for the previous edition - and was sent to the North Broadcasting Union for approval although the broadcaster eventually withdrew him in favour of La Bronze. According to Timothy Monger of AllMusic, Malca is hailed as a revolutionary artist in the Moroccan music scene:Fusing Moroccan rhythms with sleek electronic R&B and pop, Casablanca native Malca has developed a lush sound that straddles both Europe and North Africa. Basing himself in Paris, the young singer first made waves in 2015 with the self-released She Gets Too High EP, combining bright disco elements with low-key electro grooves and earning himself a deal with Berlin label Jakarta Records. His next release, 2017's Casablanca Jungle, added deeper layers to his sound, making cultural nods to his native city balanced with a more nuanced take on modern R&B and left-field pop.Malca will also become the first solo male artist sent for Morocco since the sixth edition, and is one of only two male acts - along with Myrath - to be sent since the "renaissance" starting from the 20th edition.Despite revealing the artist, the delegation has opted to stay silent regarding all other aspects of the entry, which is scheduled to be revealed in the early hours of March 30.Keep your eyes peeled!

  Moscow, after last editions almost qualification the Russian broadcaster are delighted to announce they will be participating in the upcoming edition. There was no doubt among the broadcaster to confirm. We want to thank IOLITE for her amazing performance of last edition and we are now looking for her successor. We have yet to determine the selection process, but the broadcaster said it will be most likely an internal selection. More information regarding the participation will be revealed in a later stage. See you in Switzerland! |

THE FAROE ISLANDS CONFIRM! 
KVF announced the participation of the Faroe Islands in the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest. The country will have to qualify from the Pre-Qualification Round.
After a big backlash following the non-qualification of the previous edition, former Head of Delegation of the Faroe Islands, Daníel Ólafur has confirmed his withdrawal from the position. Marina Háberg has been inaugurated as the new Head of Delegation, setting course for a future win of the country. The Faroe Islands had not been absent from the Grand Final of the competition for 6 consecutive editions. Marking the country's worst result, FRUM did not qualify from the Semi-finals in the 27th edition. "The course of the Faroese ship in Northvision will have to be changed. [...] We will be focussing on the quality of the songs [...] we send and how modern they are." Marina Háberg announced in the press conference yesterday evening.
A new national selection format has been presented aswell. Former selection name "Sangur vár til NVSC" will be shortened to "Sangur" with the corresponding edition's number in the end. Háberg explained that this shows that the songs are more in focus. The amount of the songs in the selection has been shortened to 4 songs aswell. In the first edition of the selection, which will be held in March, one artist is going to present 4 songs to the Faroese audience which can fully influence the outcome of the selection by itself.

 VRT has just confirmed that Belgium will participate in the North Vision Song Contest 28 which will be held in Switzerland.
The entry will be selected via national selection Northvision Belgium 28 which will consist of two semi-finals, a wildcard round, and of course the final. Around 200 songs were submitted to the Belgian broadcaster both from Belgium and aboard. 18 of them were chosen to compete in the national selection.
