It's a sad day. But a day I can understand. I had a really bad feeling that this was gonna come. But I understand the decision for it. I feel bad for the singers and delegations who have worked to hard to get to where they are. But I really hope that they can allow the artists can return and show their talents next year. To you guys especially we are lucky enough to have the forums as a platform of good song contests that we can enjoy until then. So let's put all our sadness away and focus on exciting editions of all our contests to come. Like North vision, Fantasia and Nnmc and OSC as just some and many more! Which is the best thing about the forum. Im sending all my love to everyone on the forum in this dark time, and hope. Everyone stays healthy and safe.  |

Their decision was never going to be any different imo. I was just waiting for the confirmation of it.
I'm just happy that they're in fact planning to still host it in Rotterdam and so far most countries (that said even anything about 2021) confirmed their entrants.

I have an idea: how about we make this years Eurovision Song Contest the biggest online contest in history.
The best recap preducers on this site (maybe the nvsc host would be up for something like this Alper @garameaning Dimitris αndreas Jan Jens Josiah. kev alexeh ?) and let them make recaps for all the semi finals and then of course,
the grand final. There should be a jury consisting of like 4 members for each country and they get to decide the jury votes in each recap. Everyone else would be able to vote via the televotes. The only thing you should have to
do is to vote for your favourite song by sending a message to the jury members of the country you live in.
Everyone who isn't from a participating country should be able to vote in under the world flag, which will be introduced in the televotes.
This is just a very besic idea, but it still is a possibility to let us enjoy Eurovision this year.
This year is only canceled if we let it be that!

Countries csn control this virus within in two months so if eurovision 2020 took place in august or September 2021 late june early july 2022 back in may We need to stand up and be counted and let the ebu know we will be ok with a delayed eurovision.

The depression is real  i was honestly looking forward to this year so much since there were no bad songs for me personally and i was already considering this among my top 3 favorite years by a mile... then this freaking virus comes and ruins everything for us all  this is something we all look forward to the most in a year and then all of this happens and it just gets taken cruelly away from us Well there is nothing to be done about it now and it was all pretty expected anyways i feel hearing about all types of restrictions and bans being placed everywhere All i hope now is that EBU and the broadcasters would give each act a chance to be there either with the same song from 2020 or a completely new one if they so choose. Either way, i cannot see 2021 being anywhere near as strong as this year was gonna be, but i can always be wrong... In any case, it hurts like hell, but this i think is a good decision regardless because of the mess that is going on. I was hoping for an empty audience performances or studio ones from each country, but eh it would not have felt the same i think with either of those decisions This is also gonna be the first year since i started watching (2006) that there is no ESC to watch (or much of any kind of sports either) which just makes me even more depressed right now life feels very weird and empty right now even if it probably should not |

Guys please sign this petition wheather you like me or not its about showing the ebu there is a good compromise that could happen and showing that are community do not mind a later showing of the contest, showing that we will come together after the outbreak with each other and show we wont be defeated |
