TRIVANIA CONFIRMS! Despite Trivania's recent lack of success, TTV has confirmed the Trivanian participation in the upcoming edition.
Moreover, they have announced to change their method of entry selection and go from internal back to a national selection.SELECTION METHOD  TTV has confirmed Trivanian Song Festival #07 to be held to determine the Trivanian entry.
The format of the selection has been revealed as the same as Trivanian Song Festival #05.
That means 20 Trivanian acts will compete in one final.
The winner will be determined by 1⁄3 Jury voting, 1⁄3 Televoting and 1⁄3 Poll voting.
In case of a tie, there will be a gold final.
More information will be revealed at a later date. |

KINGDOVANIA CONFIRMS THEIR FC 16 PARTICIPATION
After a strong 15th edition, with Say Lou Lou landing on a 9th place, KRTV has confirmed that Kingdovania will continue their participation in the forthcoming edition of the Fantasia Contest.
A selection process is yet to be determined, but the broadcaster has revealed that an internal selection is their most likely choice.

  It's JULIA HOLTER for Lanovina!Cöhln, 25th May: After confirming an internal selection to find the artist who'll represent  Lanovina at the finale of FC #16, LTR just revealed that Julia Holter has been selected to participate with her song "Words I Heard". As previously stated, she will be automatically qualified for the grand finale.
But who is Julia Holter? Being 34 years of age and spending most of her life near the northern Lanovian coast before moving to Sarindon, Julia has been a star in Lanovina's indie scene for quite a while. Since making her commercial debut in 2011, she has released 6 studio albums, "Aviary" being her latest. Said album also includes "Words I Heard", next to 14 other songs. Holter is known for her alternative sound, that is usually classified as art pop or baroque pop. Reviewing "Aviary", popular online music magazine Pitchfork described her work in the following way:
"At the heart of Julia Holter’s pristine chamber pop there exist a felt wisdom and a profound poise. Like a deep breath on a subway car, or a private meditation amid a bustling city street, her songs exude an elegant calm, but they do not often stay still. They dramatize; they swarm. (...) Classicism and chaos rarely glide together as easefully, or as eloquently, as in a Julia Holter song. ‘Try to make yourself a work of art,‘ she sang in bold, augmented measures on her 2011 debut, Tragedy, and there was an innate humanity in that ‘try‘. Holter’s music ushers us along."
"Words I Heard" fits more into the "classicism" category, as it creates a stunning sound made of Julia's angelic voice, accompanied by a piano, strings and a video focussing on the magic of nature. The broadcaster selected this song because of its "undeniable beauty", that will hopefully translate to the Fantasian audience as well. Listen to the entry below:

ARTIST REVELATION, WHO WILL REPRESENT LAKADAMIA?
This afternoon, the TRLK confirmed via a small press conference the way of selection of the 16th Lakadamian entry, and just like the
14th & 15th edition, the decision was taken to reveal the singer internally, and to potentially let the public choosing for the songn
Therefore, rejecting the rumors of a return of LMF in a variant format with duels and such stuff.
The artist will be representing  Lakadamia in Alkyria is...
M83 M83 is a Lakadamian electronic music project that was formed in 1999 in the town of Orlao, but which is now based in  Eldance.
The primary's band member is the vocalist songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer Anthony Gonzalez.
M83 is mostly known in Eldance, despite being of Lakadamian origins, but have collaborated with singers from abroad, like Mai Lan (Eldance #12), Suzanne Sundfor (Lakadamia #6), or Zola Jesus (Flirskmasto #9). They are also related to FC, as the band worked along with Susanne Sundfor for Oblivion, which was Demacia's entry for the 7th Fantasia Contest
To this day, the band released 7 albums, the last one being Junk, in 2016. The TRLK and the artist confirmed that the next
Lakadamian entry was choosed from this album.
The Lakadamian entry will be revealed within the upcoming days.

 De Vremdspongeln has to withdraw from this edition!
Last edition the talented singer-songwriter Akine represented our country in the glorious Torlova with her song No Gold, which was really well received by the press audience and the public at home. The whole country and delegation is still immensely proud of her stage performance and efforts, and that 8th place in the Semi-Final is a great achievement, we wish her the best of luck on her future career.
It is with deep sadness to announce that the Vremd streak of participations all the way since the second edition will come to a temporary end now. The broadcaster De Vremd 1 can confirm that the country will not appear at the sixteenth edition of the most prestigeous music contest of Fantasia. Internal problems within the broadcaster and the all important parliamentary elections were cited as reasons for the withdrawal. Laura Trocknens, the Head of Delegation stated

Frigg / Levalle / 26 May 2019 The Levallese national broadcaster, Levalle Brødkorpori (LB) has just confirmed that the country will be present at the 16th Fantasia Contest in Alkyria. Levalle will once again be hoping to begin their streak of final participations. Despite failing to qualify for the second time in a row, the country is even more motivated to finally succeed.
The broadcaster has not, however, confirmed how they will select their act for the forthcoming edition. It is most likely that this time they will opt for the national selection. Levalle has not qualified for the final in their previous two attempts after selecting the representatives internally, that is why the broadcaster may be considering other ways to revamp their selection process.
Levalle had their Fantasia debut in the 14th edition, held in Drukana, Niolskiaj. Daria Zawiałow presented the flavour of the mother tongue while performing "Nie dobiję się do Ciebie" which unfortunately did not manage to qualify from the third semi-final. Jutrø feat. Linda became her successors. The duo decided to bring some witch house realness to Estambla, Torlova. Their "Travva" repeated the same feat as Daria by placing 10th in the semi-final.

ZYLOFONIJA CONFIRMS!
After the successful qualification of Isador in Torlova as well as a surprising 5th place, the Zylofoni broadcaster ZINU confirmed their participation in the upcoming 16th edition of Fantasia Contest, in Alkyria.
Once again, a national final will be used to determine the lucky Zylofoni act...
