FIRST MELODIFESTIVALEN ACT TO BE REVEALED DURING P4 NÄSTA THIS WEEKEND
While there's still a while until we get the crazy Melodifestivalen rumours, as well as the actual participant list for the 2020th Melodifestivalen, we are super close to actually knowing our very first participant, namely; the selected P4 Nästa finalist.
For many years now, one of the 8 finalists from the P4 Nästa competition were internally selected by a jury group to be part of the upcoming MF edition the year after. This year, same rules stand, and the eight finalists will be taking on the stage of P4 Nästa at Linköpings Konsert & Kongress hall on the 24th of August. These eight finalists consist of:As the previous years, the song that the selected act competes with in MF will be completely different from the one they competed with in P4 Nästa, meaning that the judging process will mostly be towards the artistic features and uniqueness the act can deliver during the P4 Nästa stage.
Which of these eight acts do you feel would be a worthy feature in the upcoming Melodifestivalen edition?

AMANDA AASA RECEIVES THE FIRST MELODIFESTIFALEN 2020 TICKET
As the final of P4 Nästa 2019 was finally over, a winner trophy and a MF ticket was to be given out during the P4 Nästa final. The winner of the actual competition was Tim Lööv from Kronoberg, taking it home with his song "All I Need Is You". Fortunately for someone else, the MF ticket was offered to none other than Amanda Aasa from Örnsköldsvik.
Amanda Aasa herself is very grateful for the offer the was given, and she also mentions that Melodifestivalen was actually part of her planning schedule with her team.
It's really great. We didn't think about being so active during spring time, but we changed our minds and felt that we could do something great with this exposure, given the right organization around yourself. is what she mentioned to Nöjesbladet.
While she did not win P4 Nästa, she still managed to reach the super final with her song "Gå hem", and just barely missed out the winner spot against Tim Lööv.
Amanda Aasa is no stranger to the music scene, as she herself tried for Swedish Idol for many years, and has also been a pre-show act for artists such as Miss Li, Dotter, and Den svenska björnstammen.

[#1] CAROLA TO MAKE A COMEBACK
After several weeks since we got our first act revealed, the Melodifestivalen rumour mill can finally begin, and we're already starting off with a big name, namely the 1991 winner herself, Carola Häggkvist!
Having won Melodifestivalen three times before, and Eurovision once, Carola Häggkvist seems to have found the courage to finally return to the competition again, and for the first time, with a song which was written by herself. The song in question is said to be about Carola's Christian belief, and her love for jesus. Sources state that "the song has been sent in before, but back then she always withdrew her song or declined the participation, but this time, it seems like she finally wants to do it".
-----------------------------
On top of that, the front page of this thread is now updated with a preliminary rumour list, which will contain a list from which Aftonbladet has either confirmed as highly likely in Melodifestival, plus acts which are either searching for a song, or which SVT are trying to convince to participate.
More rumours are said to appear in the next coming weeks, up until the reveal in late November/early December!

Just saying - she said it isn't true. #whatsthetea Considering no artist/songwriter is allowed to remotely say anything about their participation, her instagram story might be either: 1) a cover-up in order to hide the fact that she is actually in or 2) she actually declined the offer at the last minute (considering Tobbe Ek did say that she was in the final phase of discussion with SVT about her participation)
but even as stupid as this may sound, I lowkey feel like trusting Tobbe Ek more in this, as he does not go forth with rumoured names unless he has a good amount of (credible) sources agreeing with each other(he revealed during Aftonbladet Morgon that he has several other names, but he does not want to reveal them because, again, he still needs more credible sources agreeing with him on this),and he is also not afraid to say that he was wrong with his information, which he has done before as well.
So far, no new article about "Carola is not in MF" has been published, and the only edit I've seen on the original article is Tobbe mentioning Carola's instagram post, yet nothing about him being "wrong" regarding the information he's gotten, so unless he gets new information from his sources in the coming weeks, I'd still considering Carola a possibility
