 Swiss Entry Revealed About a month ago, the Swiss selection, Helvetia Festival, went underway to determine the nation's next entry in  Dublin. The national final consisted of 6 songs picked by Swiss national jurors, and were signed contracts to ensure their participation in the event. Despite receiving an extraordinary amount of 42 votes, the Swiss Broadcasting company SRG:SSR revealed earlier today that the national final had to be cancelled despite the confirmation deadline being today. The head of delegation Andreas Stümmer stated the following: "(...)We are extremely proud of our national talent that were showcased in the 2nd edition of the Helvetia Festival. Unfortunately, we will not continue with the national selection as of now until an unspecified date. We are again, really sorry, and it's such a shame that these 6 songs will not be able to be entered again, but our doors are always open to them and the rest of the Swiss artists and composers!(...)"After the revelation of the cancellation of the national final, questions started to rise amongst the press members on who the new selected artist can be. Fortunately, the artist and the song got revealed right afterwards! SRG:SSR can proudly present our entrant in the upcoming North Vision Song Contest who is no one other than... 
Charline Mignot, who is not a stranger to the contest after competing in the 25th edition in  Casablanca and being a host last edition in  Bern, is back again to wave the Swiss flag in Dublin.
The perfume of Vendredi sur Mer arises like among mountains of marble and a pacific lunaire. It draws an invigorating universe, of a whiteness at the same time dark and luminous whence rises gently a erotic-icy voice that freezes time, as in a dream.
Paradoxically, we sometimes feel the electro-pop artist Vendredi Sur Mer tinged with a touch sparkling and mischievous, revealing a music that borrows innocence and lightness. Charline Mignot was born in Switzerland at the dawn of the 90s. From childhood, the young woman develops a very personal point of view on the world around her.
Recently releasing her new album Premiers Emois, she actually sent the song "Encore" from the album to the broadcaster to have a chance to represent Switzerland again in North Vision. The song was not shortlisted to the final six, but the broadcaster later understood their fault and the budget cuts paved the way into accepting the entry as their official submission to the North Broadcasting Union.
