 NORWAY CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION! Oslo, Norway • 12 July 2019 After an amazing 4th place achieved last edition which marked the first top 5-finish after 10 editions for Norway, NRK announced that the country will obviously be present in the next edition which will take place in  Ireland for the first time. Norway won't have to go through the semi-finals this edition as AURORA brought the country to the top 6. DEN NORSKEN SANGEN 26 Aside from their participation, the Head of Delegation also confirmed that Den Norsken Sangen 26 would take place in order to select the country's 29th entrant. When the Head of Delegation was asked regarding the national selection, he said: "We trust our selection system as it hasn't changed since the fourth edition and has brought us to 24 finals out of 26 participations. But we're thinking of doing some changes in the format and the voting system. Stay tuned for further information!" |

 SWEDEN CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION!SVT has just confirmed  Sweden's participation for the 29th edition of the North Vision Song Contest. FANTASIFESTIVALEN IN PREPARATIONS!  Fantasifestivalen will be held once again in order to find the Swedish entrant for the 29th NVSC edition. The format of the competition remains the usual. The Head of Delegation, Jan Björkman, said: "After Vukasin's LÉON's amazing performance in the last edition that secured us another Automatic Qualification spot, we are glad to announce to hold Fantasifestivalen for another edition with the usual format! As we have noticed, out of the last 7 acts that were chosen through Fantasifestivalen, six of them have made it into the Top 6, therefore there is no doubt to continue our selection. We hope to keep the interest within our country stable and reach for another successful edition for Sweden!" |

NEWS FROM UKRAINE The 28th edition is over, a new edition is coming already. Almost immediately after the revelation of the results, the Ukrainian delegation around Anton Gomorenko met to discuss further plans and ideas for the 29th edition. That means the  Ukrainian participation in Ireland is safe!
There are discussions about another edition of PNV, our famous national selection series. However there will be some changes and surprises following the withdrawal of our Co-HoD, so you can be excited about the more or less "new" format.
Almost a week has passed after the Grand Final Results of the 28th edition of NVSC. The qualification of Detach made the Ukrainian audience very excited and hyped, everyone hoped for a good placing. Even if the outcome was not what the delegation expected, we still want to say thank you to all of Europe and beyond for voting our rock entry. The 18th place is not too bad, we are still proud of you Detach!

SLOVAKIA TO JOIN THE PARTY IN IRELAND!
Earlier today, during a special press conference held in Bratislava, the national broadcaster RTVS officially confirmed Slovakia's participation in the 29th edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
With higher viewing figures than last edition and definitely a bigger interest in the contest, the Slovak team would never think about withdrawing from the competition.
« Slovak fans are extremely proud of the unexpected result achieved by Katarzia and her unique song "Bábiky Sa Vraždia".
A 19th place with such a different entry can only keep our hopes up for the future editions! »

The method of selection has yet to be determined, even though an internal selection is once again the most likely option.

SLOVENIA CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION IN IRELAND
RTVSLO has confirmed that Slovenia will make their 23rd appearance in the Northvision Song Contest.
After a well-received 11th place by Zala & Gasper in Bern, following Kukla's top 10 in the 27th edition,
the Head of Delegation and the RTVSLO team are very excited to try continue the good set of results.
RTVSLO can confirm that an internal selection will be used to select the Slovenian act and song for the 29th edition.
More information is to be revealed in the near future. Stay tuned!

  Poland returns to the contestAfter some internal problems before 28th edition, Poland was unable to participate for the 2nd time in North Vision Song Contest. We needed that break and some changes were made. Our last National Selection wasn't successful not only because we didn't qualify to the final but also the format was quite complicated. This time we confirm our return to contest and we are happy to join the party in  Ireland ! We are also coming back with Polish Top Of The Top and its previous form of few songs and one final.
