SLOVENIA CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION
Following the third consecutive qualification, thanks to Anja Kotar, RTVSLO can confirm that Slovenia will make their appearance in the 30th edition. At the moment, RTVSLO has no plans to host a national selection process, and are already looking for a plausible act to represent the ex-yugo nation.
More information regards the Slovenian participation will be made in due time!

SWEDEN TO TAKE PART IN THE JUBILEE EDITION! SVT has just confirmed Sweden's participation for the 30th edition of the North Vision Song Contest. SPECIAL EDITION OF FANTASIFESTIVALEN TO BE HELD! Fantasifestivalen will be held once again in order to find the Swedish entrant for the 30th NVSC edition. The format of the competitive aspect of the show will remain the same, but one detail will be changed to make the 30th Fantasifestivalen edition special. The Head of Delegation, Jan Björkman, said: "We are absolutely proud of our girl, Janice, whatever the result may be! The interest within our country has not been that high for a long time, therefore it was a decision made in less than a second for another Fantasifestivalen edition to be organized. To celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of North Vision Song Contest, there will be a little special change to the format of how the entries will be selected. We cannot wait to find out how this edition of Fantasifestivalen is going to turn out to be."

NO CONFIRMATION YET
Ríkisutvarpið (RÚV), the Icelandic broadcaster, has stated that they are yet to make a decision on Iceland's participation in the jubilee edition. This comes after uncertainty regarding the semi-final results, where our talented Kælan Mikla were unable to advance to the grand final in Dublin, meaning Iceland missed the final for the first time since the 26th edition. Furthermore, the possible participation in the pre-qualification round once again was also another reason to put confirmation on hold.
The Icelandic head of delegation, Dýri Brjánsson, appeared with his co-HoD Agni Freyr on RÚV this morning where he stated that: We wouldn't want to miss this edition at all. 30 editions of North Vision is absolutely outstanding and to miss such an event is not something we want to do. However, given the uncertainty surrounding our result in the semi-final, we are not making a decision right now. This shouldn't be interpreted as a withdrawal because the fans would be very upset if we were to do so. Plus, given how special this edition is, we wouldn't want to miss it at all.
The Icelandic delegation has stated that participation is likely, although the team will need to look at their options before confirming anything. Should Iceland be in the pre-qualification round, serious discussions will need to be held between the team on how to choose a possible entry to bring the country to the semi-finals. However, should the country survive the PQR, it's likely that RÚV will confirm right away and expand their options, including a possible national selection.
However, nothing else has been confirmed as of yet. Fans are expected to hear news on Iceland's participation after the results of the current edition.

Montenegro confirms for NVSC 30!23/09/2019 • BudvaIn spite of an above average set of recent results for Montenegrin standards, rumours had been circulating that the Montenegrin participation was in question for the jubilee edition, citing "lack of options". However, tonight in Budva, an official announcement from RTCG has been made to confirm that that is not the case, and Montenegro will be present for the 30th edition of the North Vision Song Contest regardless of Sirius Human's result in Dublin.
"The song 'Microcosm' was a huge risk, one that we were absolutely willing to take as we were such huge fans of Natalia and the song as soon as it was sent in for us, and just because it hasn't necessarily got the general public reaction we were perhaps hoping for doesn't mean we're going to stop trying to expand our horizons in this contest," a spokesperson for RTCG said tonight, "We are still immensely proud of Natalia regardless of her result and withdrawing is absolutely not an option, with interest for the contest here only continuing to grow."
As with last edition, no statement was made regarding the selection format, but it is believed that the delegation team have been scouring the Montenegrin industry deeply to try and find the perfect representative to keep the overachieving going. A national selection is believed to be possible, albeit dependent on scheduling conflicts, financial issues and the availability of entrants.
More information to follow.
Montenegro started their North Vision journey fairly successfully, with Savo Perović's "Iznenađenje" reaching the final and finishing in 20th place. However, this would become one of Montenegro's only four final appearances, and the following 8 edition saw non-qualifications and one withdrawal. The 10th edition brought some surprising and much needed success, and "Odlazim" by Andrea Demirović winning the semi-final and then coming 5th in the grand final brought an unlikely automatic qualification to the Montenegrin track record.
The first and only Montenegrin AQ was widely celebrated, and Jelena Tomašević put up a respectable performance of her entry "Radio Svira Za Nas" and gave the country another 20th place. A withdrawal followed in the 12th edition, but Jelena Kažanegra oversaw the Montenegrin return for NVSC 13 and reached what would be Montenegro's last final to date, finishing in 23rd place. Goga Sekulić and Jasmin Jusić's "Vuče, Lopove" came close to qualifying in the following edition, and a respectable 12th in the semi-final followed from "Preventiva" by Anabela and Boban Rajović, as well as another 11th place in the semi-final in the 27th edition from SPACETRAIN's instrumental piece "An Ode to Music".
But ultimately it was Balkan group MAiKA who broke the lengthy non-qualification streak in the 28th edition with their upbeat ethnic-inspired song "River Sava" to the jubilation of Montenegrin North Vision fans.

RTL confirms Luxembourg's presence for jubilee edition
In the evening news broadcast last night at RTL1, it was confirmed that Luxembourg would take part at the 30th milestone contest. This comes after the country's record streak of non-qualifications was furthered to 4. Despite this, the semi-final broadcast was most watched since GEZZA's.RTL's head of entertainment stated:"Unfortunately, songs in Italian, French, pop or alternative have not worked for us lately. With Benjamin Lasnier having qualified before despite lacking much support, we were a bit confused. But this was not enough for us to back down; we will come back stronger. And not for a minute, will we stop showing our homegrown talent."Prior to confirmation, rumors had been spreading that RTL would again internally select a song as a result of increased interest and favorability. However, the broadcaster stated that it was currently evaluating options.
At the end of broadcast, an Associate Broadcasters Final was endorsed.
