So its confirmed. Eurovision has been cancelled.
This is seriously getting beyond the fucking joke now.
I get precautions and all but they haven't done this level of shit since the World Wars and lets be real the actions taking are extremely out of proportion. How long are they expecting it to last? People are going to go stir crazy locked up their homes for months on end with no distractions! There will be a mental health and suicide crisis like never before! All because of a fucking minor respiratory virus which has a fatality rate of no more than 0.8% (going off South Korea and the Diamond Princess where tests have been most accurate) World has gone totally insane and this is the media's mass hysteria fault, people are acting like this is an apocalypse and everything is on shutdown as a result.

It's minor for you But if you have diabetes, asthma, older than 70 or have any other respitory, kidney, heart or liver diseases it isn't minor anymore. These precautions are to protect them and the healthcare system from blowing up. |

As much as I hate c*********s I don't think ESC was going to turn out in a different way. I would've hoped for no audience, but realistically I always had a thought they would cancel it anyway. Things are just becoming too restrictive now for these events to be held, as sad as it is I guess we just need to live with that. I think that despite all the information we have on the virus that might help people form a positive perspective on the entire issue, the media is not going to portray that. For example, the amount of people recovering worldwide - 70,000+ recoveries - when have we ever heard that on tv? I've made points on that in earlier posts so I won't do it again. I'm just happy how supermarkets here are dedicating hours to the elderly (at least Lidl, Aldi and Supervalu anyway, but it's probably all of them) and gives me some hope that we will all make it through this. It's scary, but we also need to try stay positive as well. I'm having a horrible day because of c****a cancelling ESC and other things relating to it, but maybe that will change in the upcoming days. Take care of yourselves everyone xx And I think it was mentioned that we should stop devouring stories relating to the virus on the news because it's really not good for you.. well I agree with that, by that I mean constantly checking for updates.. not good luv It's already been a horrible year and I don't know what else could make it worse. But wake me up when we get to 2021 thank u  |

But I must really say I have wait that the Grand Prix de la Chanson would be cancelled this Year!
And I think it is the Right way, it should be not so how in Italy!
I personly have prefer more October-December 2020 but we must accept now that it is cancelled for this year!
It is going about the health about all Peoples in our Countries!

Well i guess it was all inevitable after i read about the restrictions put in place in the Netherlands and everywhere. It all seemed even more unlikely to happen after that  i hope they would atleast let all the artists stay the same and give them an option to either keep their song from 2020 or choose a new one. Think that is the best we can hope for now  It hurts like hell, but i think it was a reasonable decision regardless and we can always hold ESC in some aspect here if someone is willing. I will probs hold one for myself atleast just for fun trying to mimic what i think would have happened  But yeah let me just declare this year officially as a fucking big ass mess like none other and i am just fed up with all this corona stuff by now i am probs not gonna be interested in reading anything related to it anymore just freaking end all this already and let us all get back to normal with our lives... i am just fucking done for real And i thought 2019 was the worst year of my life  like it is only March and i think 2020 has already surpassed all the mess that happened during the whole damn year. If 2021 is gonna be a huge mess too i will probs lose my mind completely  Someone wake me up from this mess of a dream i seem to be stuck in.. |

The Uk will be officially closing school after Friday until further notice as it was revealed by the government today.
World War 2 brought us together and it’s the Coronavirus that separates us once more.
I thank the Chinese government for they lack of food quality and control to allow this to happen in the first place.

I think we need to back off the UK here, we may all have an opinion but none of us are scientist or politicians and as such have no real idea on how to best deal with this kind of situation. A decision has been made based on knowledge that people have and the seriousness of the situation. This is not the bubonic plague or Ebola, its a different stand of the flu virus. My best guess for the UK's response is because the more people that get it, their immune system will be able to fight against it and therefore if they get it again the body can fight it better. I'm not saying jump into bed with someone from the coronavirus and personally I hope I do not get it but I hope if i do my body can fight it and protect me for if were to happen again. Also,the Health service here isn't ready for a shut down of the country whereas trying to delay it until the summer where the NHS is better prepared is what the aim is, we have more staff in the summer and as such will have the doctors and nurses needed to help the people that get ill. No one is speaking about the real issue here which is how the virus came in the first place. There needs to be better laws in China about how they look after their food produce and there markets for 'exotic' animals needs to stop. The cross contamination is absolutely vile and disgusting and if China continues to not address this and if governments don't deal with this then it's not going to get better. Don't come shooting at me for my opinion but I just think we should look at the wider picture. Just wash your hands !! Oh look, this didn’t age badly at all |
