Philippines update Philippines has breached over 2000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and already surpass the 100+ death and 50+ recoveries. I have an evidence for that how confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines is getting higher because of the COVID-19 testing laboratory occurs across the country and also there are many Filipino is not following the quarantine protocols such as Social Distancing. Definitely the video that shows were footage in Quezon City about the group is called "Kadamay". Those of the group that allegedly to need help and it may lead to chaos in EDSA. Source: ABS-CBN The Enhanced Community Quarantine might will be lift or extend when if the situation in my country is already improved. World Update It's getting closer to reach over 1M confirmed cases of COVID-19

Status update here as well Confirmed cases up to 1518, 300 now have been recorded as recovered, unfortunately we have 19 deaths overall so far. Luckily that number is in my eyes relatively low compared to the amount of cases we have so i am pretty happy how we have handled all this up to this point Also it has been confirmed that the rate of our infections have been slowing down consistently for the past 4 to 5 days in a row now and there is indeed a noticable decline to be seen for example through here gisanddata.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6 That is the site i tend to keep an eye on consistently about all this That gives me a lot of hope that maybe, just maybe we are past the worst now or atleast are getting it all under control slowly but surely i am still not entirely sure if we have reached our peak just yet so i am still not getting my hopes up just yet, but all these restrictions seem to have definitely helped us

In Latvia students of Riga Technical University have designed and 3D-printed new respirators for our medical staff (so far only in Riga for one hospital, because they're still testing them). In the article it says, that doctors are pretty impressed with how good these respirators are. Not only they are easy to use, but they can be easily cleaned and can be used many times, unlike other respirators medical staff uses in most cases. HERE you can see how they look

Update in Iceland: We seem to be at the peak now, 1562 cases of which 460 are recovered, sadly 2 more elderly have died taking us to 6 (0.3% of total confirmed cases). I have a feeling the death toll may increase now as a cluster has been found at a nursing home in Bolungarvík in the most remote part of the country, but hopefully I am wrong. Im proud and impressed by the Icelandic response to try keep things open and avoid a lockdown, we seem to be managing it right

OK. This is not a fake new. here in Spain we have around 135.000 cases. So, we're the second country with most cases in the world!!! Only behind of United States. Fortunetly, in my region there aren't many cases.

UK leader Boris Johnson has been taken into intensive care and will likely be put on a ventilator tonight. Let's hope he'll survive (British people don't deserve a new affliction) but keep that lesson in his mind: he shouldn't have gambled with people's lifes.
My comments about the last results:
In Italy, the number of new cases is at its lower level since the 17th of March. The number of active cases is still slowly increasing but the number of people in hospitals is getting a bit lower. About the still increasing number of positive cases who stayed at home, there are three possible explanations, and the truth is probably a combination of these three ones: - More people are tested than a week ago, so more asymptomic or note severe cases are detected.
- Reporting people who recovered from the disease is probably more difficult than people who were hospitalised, so I think there are people who are not included yet in the statistics.
- Due to the still quite high number of people hospitalised, only severe enough cases are accepted.
In France, the number of new confirmed cases is under 4000, which is good for a Monday (because some of the cases of the Sundays are reported only on Monday or Tuesday). About the sudden rising of statistics on Saturday you can see on the map made by John Hopkins University, the explanation is quite simple: a new indicator was published about the number of suspicious cases in some institutions like nursery homes. I already explained that after two cases confirmed in a given nursery home, nobody else is tested: any person with symptoms is supposed to have Covid-19. So from the gap of 25k people between the 65k of Friday and the 90k of Saturday, 21k are these suspicious cases.
The number of cases in my departement of Bouches-du-Rhône is quite high, but I already explained that a comparison with the rest of France was difficult. Like in Iceland, everyone can be tested in Marseille, even people with no symptoms who just want to be sure they won't contaminate anybody without knowing they are infected. 2.5% of the entire population of Marseille has been tested, and thousands more people coming from the neighbourhood or the rest of France. Among more than a thousand people who received the treatment of hydroxychloroquin+azythromicin during at least three days, only two passed away (one was a 84 year old man, I don't know about the second one). This treatment is very efficient (associated with early detection of new cases, because if you are hospitalised with already severe symptoms, that treatment will barely increase your chances of surviving).
I'm much more worried about poor countries and the United States. By the way, there are also poor people in the USA. Like I already explained several weeks ago, many poor people living in the country are confronted to a cruel dilemma: or they do the test and will potentially have debts for the rest of their life if they need to be hospitalised, or they pray that their symptoms are not due to coronavirus, they continue to work and they potentially contribute to the spread of the disease. The President of the United States should have announced that the country would pay all the bills associated with the treatment of Covid-19. I'm afraid that the number of cases will continue to grow much higher than expected. New York City is collapsing, not even able to deal with the bodies of dead people, with almost as many cases as China, while the State of New York has almost reached the total number of cases of Italy. And we are still far from the peek. New York asked for help, but it's probably too late and thousands of people will die because they won't receive the treatment they'll need. I'm also afraid that more people will leave the city and accelerate the diffusion of the disease in the rest of the country.
