Yemen has First COVID 19 Cases Everyone around them has hundreds of cases, but they only now has their first one? does it sound believable? Almost as believable as Tajikistan, North Korea and Turkmenistan having no cases at all

Let’s remember that not every nation is a well developed 1st world nation I never said they are. I mean, North Korea and Tajikistan could be considered poor, but Turkmenistan is one of the fastest growing countries in the world. So they should have resources to do at least some tests. But that's not the reason they haven't done any. It's because they are highly autocratic (pretty much dictatorship) countries (all 3 of them). We already know that North Korea likes to hide information about them. And few days ago I read THIS article about Turkmenistan. I think I don't need to say more... THIS is also an interesting article.

THIS is also an interesting article. Yeah that’s true countries like China and North Korea like to hide or twist their numbers around, it’s become pretty common knowledge. But honestly can’t speak for those other countries, cuz I’ve never heard of them. But like I said they probably have more cases but just don’t want the rest of the world to know.

So we are starting to see certain countries are really standing out in the way they are handling this pandemic or really struggling to cope. Times like this really can show what a country is made of and how its leadership truly is. I'm not going to judge most poorer nations here as that would be simply unfair. Positive: China - Say what you like about their figures (I'd say looking at the next country below that they are very likely no less accurate than others here) but you cannot deny that response in China was ineffective. From sealing off an entire province to building hospitals in under a week (which all closed with 6 weeks as they got it under control so well) it's been very drastic - But such is what drastic times call for. I'm so happy to see Hubei reopened and hope the best for them in the months going ahead Germany - Germany on the first glance looks to be struggling with its cases. But look at how low their death rate is compared to everyone else up at the top and close to 50,000 already recovered. They are testing more people and have properly put in effective measures to handle it all and it seems to be working as they are already slowly starting to reopen. South Korea - A few weeks ago the world was looking on fearfully at Korea, now we look to them in envy. Sure the nation already being on a ever heightened alert state has helped them prepare and take action quickly, and the sheer scale of their test programmes is almost unrivalled by any other large country. And all of this without having to shut the whole country down. Iceland & Faroe Islands - Now these two have advantages as their small populations and isolated location make contact tracing easier. But even then the response from both governments has been incredible with new Faroese cases halted and Icelandic ones slowing every day while almost everybody is making full recoveries. New Zealand - Drastic measures from the first report of community spread. 1 single death. A leader who knows what she is doing. Well done Kiwis. Negative: United States - Where do we even begin here... Oh yeah that leader who first cried "hoax", then told everyone churches should reopen and be packed by Easter and did almost nothing until the point his nation's biggest city has fallen into chaos. Obviously the size of the country meant it was bound to have many cases but this is unprecedented. A serious failure and nothing more. Brazil - I really feel for Brazil as they don't necessarily have the resources in many areas to fight this off. But really Bolsonaro? Constant denial and downplaying the threat will kill hundreds in such a densely packed and in many areas impoverished nation. United Kingdom - Of all the countries I could have been stuck in and it was this one. What the hell even is going on? A half arsed attempt at a lockdown that is both crippling the country and not actually solving the issue while testing kits are nowhere to be seen and their government is refusing to get ventilators from anyone other than a party donor, a vaccuum company who have never before made medical equipment. This will be Europes worst hit country and no shock at all.

But Idk I do blame the government (the Republicans) a little bit because people here are so used to not having pandemics cause this much chaos,( thank you obama) To the point where we have to close down so much.

This will be Europes worst hit country and no shock at all. Agree on everything here. I am also positively surprised on those countries you mentioned on the positive side Perfect examples that this freaking virus can be defeated if you just know how to handle stuff like this Think i would also include us on the positive side FOR NOW atleast . Despite the rising cases (2769 right now), which is mostly the result of us testing much more people actively recently and the rising deaths (currently at 48), i would say we are doing relatively well handling all this. With the restrictions put in place by our goverment, i am so far happy with how everything is going for us however that could all still change, but yeah so far it is looking alright. There was one positive prediction kind of article that the epidemic here in Finland would pretty much have peaked come the first two weeks of May because of how everything has been handled so far, so fingers crossed that happens to be true I am honestly sad at seeing how some countries are struggling with this right now ( ) to name a few. The last of which i am not sure whether i would consider that "struggling" exactly since they just do not really have pretty much any restrictions put in place for some reason i have no idea on. Atleast that is what i have heard and read On the bright side of things i would say is starting to look maybe just a bit better and have impressed me the most perhaps looking at their number of new cases recently, etc. and their "corona-lines" as i like to call it looking at the source ( link) i like to use the most. Lot have already started to make a slight curve which gives me hope. I also wish the situation in would start to turn better soon too. Their line looks to curve just a bit too so maybe just maybe it starts to ease a bit for them as well
