Iasonas Mandilas wins NorthSong 0016 – first male winner since eleven!

After weeks, the voting for NorthSong 0016 officially closed earlier today with the winner being revealed right after. ERT revealed that a total of 46 votes were cast in the selection.
Iasonas Mandilas to wave the greek flag!
Iasonas Mandilas was revealed to be the big winner of NorthSong 0016. The singer won the selection with his song "Mono esena" and will represent the country for the first time, after he took part in the third edition of Balkan Music Bash with the song "Hilia kommatia" and placed 3rd in the final.
The voting grid was revealed along with the announcement of the winner. Mandilas managed to collect an outstanding amount of 321 points, 37 points ahead the runner-up – Amanda Tenfjord and "Kill the Lonely". As for the rest of the results, the other returning NorthSong act, Perfume Genius, placed 5th. Check out the rest of the results in the voting grid below.
ERT held a press conference with the winner of the selection right after the announcement, where the media had the chance to ask their questions to the winner as well as the Head of Delegation. Before the press questions started, Iasonas gave the following statement:
"I just want to say thank you to the people who voted for me, and I'm glad to represent my country in the contest. Hopefully, I can keep up the good streak the artists have previously brought to the country, and maybe an even better one this time. Thank you, once again, for your love and support for my song. Can't wait to see you all out there in Luxembourg."
