Tunisia reveals their entry
Tunis, Tunisia - May 17, 2230CETAfter a month of anticipation, Tunisia is ready to reveal its entry - which it hopes will maintain the Tunisian success that has been garnered in the past few editions. Without further ado, the artist who will represent Tunisia in Luxembourg is...
NOUR HARKATI
Nour Harkati hails from Tunis, the country's capital. He moved around Europe in his early adulthood, with particularly long stints in Paris and Berlin. Later, he moved to New York City to expand his musical vision, following the footsteps (no pun intended) of Emel Mathlouthi who did the exact same. Upon moving back to Tunis, he applied his newly acquired music knowledge to create a dark, brooding folk album called Helwess, in collaboration with the band Aytma.
The song that will be sent to the contest is Ayem, the gargantuan 7 minute centrepiece of the album. A true gem of progressive folk, it builds up and up until it dwindles out towards the end. The song is entirely in Arabic, and is still considered by Arabic speakers themselves to be quite cryptic.

Zaryah will defend Luxembourg's title in Room 112! Last edition, LA-born singer Luka Kloser did the impossible, giving Luxembourg its first improbable victory. As such, RTL was given the unique once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to defend its title in home soil. With the broadcaster having conducted a thorough search, Zaryah was chosen for the task, making her the third consecutive singer residing in LA. She will sing her song Room 112 in Luxembourg City.

 Luxembourg City, Let's Go! Musica (E il resto scompare) managed to reach a respectable fourteenth place for Elettra Lamborghini, so in order to stand out more, Italy has decided to go for a massive risk in the hopes that it will pay off.

This slaps so hard! I would've preferred the second place by miles but the winner was my second. Another banger! Amazing! Serving quality once again. Would've preferred the second but this is also amazing.  This sounds so lovely! This seems to be a great edition! I am really excited as the sneak peeks and the semis begin! |
