LEBANON CONFIRMS, NATIONAL SELECTION TO RETURN?
BEIRUT, 03 APRIL 2020.
Following the Lebanese non qualification from the Pre Qualification Round of NVSC 31, the Lebanese broadcasted took this as an opportunity to... do nothing.
"Our method of selection will most likely remain the same as the main plan we have fixed with the delegation since the 28th edition, is to come with songs that can showcase how diverse the music industry of Lebanon is.
Obviously, the results within the contest do matter, but they don't represent much for our way of selection, taking risks is what makes the contest fun, isn't it?"
Along with this, the Lebanese broadcaster is planning on the return of "A Song for Lebanon" for the 32nd edition.
The broadcaster has, however, didn't gave any informations of how the NS will be working.
The National Selection was used 3 times in the past:
• In the 29th edition, as a battle between two singers.
• In the 27th edition, with 10 songs, and being won by Nelly Makdessy - for the second time -.
• and in the 24th edition, with 5 songs, and being won by Nelly Makdessy.
More informations, especially about the National Selection will be getting released during the month of April.

KAZAKHSTAN WILL PARTICIPATE!
Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. 4th April 2020.
The head of delegation,   Ivo Maskunyanov stated in a press conference "Kazakhstan will participate in the 32nd edition of NVSC. We are looking to return to the Final, after the failure of last edition. Although the non qualification we are so glad with JUZIM, they did an awesome job"
He also announced: "I can also confirm that Äwenfestïvali 32 will be our selection method, we are already contacting some singers and starting with the selection of songs".
NATIONAL FINAL From now on you can suggest songs to compete in the NF via the official form of NTK.

Finland confirms participation!
YLE announced today on their website that  Finland will compete in the 32nd edition of North Vision Song Contest. This will be Finland's 30th participation in the contest. Pohjoisviisut will once again select the Finnish entrant. The format will stay the same, meaning that seven artists will compete for the victory. ICELAND CONFIRMS!Reykjavík, 4th April 2020
 RÚV, the Icelandic broadcaster, has just confirmed that Iceland would be participating in the 32nd edition of North Vision Song Contest. The confirmation comes as no surprise to anyone, as the contest is extremely popular in the country and seeing the country withdraw would make no sense whatsoever, especially after Of Monsters and Men's 3rd place in  Sweden in the 30th edition.
The news was confirmed by the head of delegation,  Dýri Brjánsson, in an interview on RÚV this morning. In the interview, he also answered fans' questions as always with regards to the selection process, and so he stated that:
We are extremely happy to be part of this fabulous event and we could never withdraw from it without good reason; we reached our best result since #18 in the 30th edition, and although the odds aren't looking good for KRíA in Norway, we are extremely proud of her and all of our participants ever since I took charge as Iceland's head of delegation in the 23rd edition. That being said, I know what you're all looking for and I'll say just one thing - the national selection will be coming back, but will of course be scaled down to a lower number of songs. More information will come soon!
With this, it has been confirmed that Iceland will host a national selection for the 32nd edition, albeit with much fewer acts than before. It's expected that the Ferðin til... series will continue to serve as the Icelandic national selection, however nothing has been confirmed just yet. It's expected that the selection will contain less than 10 acts and songs will be in both English and Icelandic.
More news will be given after the results of the 31st edition. In the meantime, we wish the best of luck to KRíA in  Lillehammer! |

 IRELAND CONFIRMS! Ireland will participate in the upcoming 32nd edition of North Vision Song Contest.
Following Empara Mi's qualification on her second consecutive attempt we are glad to announce that we'll join the party once again. Another edition of Emerald Festival is going to take place and the preparations are already on their way. The broadcaster didn't reveal more information regarding the format, but it was confirmed that Empara Mi will not be returning once again. More informations will follow in due time, but for now we want to wish all of the participants best of luck and we're looking forward to see where we will be travelling next.

Australia confirms for #32!04/04/2020 • SydneySBS is excited to confirm  Australia's participation in the 32nd edition of NVSC, marking the nation's third appearance in the contest. Reportedly delighted with Vancouver Sleep Clinic's qualification to the final - the country's first from a regular semi-final, the broadcaster has been eager to provide a substantial amount of information regarding Australia's selection process to keep Northvision fans fed.
Australia Decides will be making a comeback after debuting last edition, however the selection this time around will be condensed - with just twelve songs participating instead of the twenty four from last edition, in one grand final instead of the formerly used semi-final process. "We may go back to a semi-final format in the future," a spokesperson for the broadcaster confirmed in a press conference today, "But for now we're looking at trying different formats, finding out what works best for us and really finding out what the contest wants from us and what we can offer."
SBS also exclusively revealed all twelve artists hoping to represent Australia in NVSC #32. All twelve artists are brand new to Northvision and Australia Decides:

Australia made their North Vision debut in the thirtieth edition as part of the associate broadcaster celebrations, which Vera Blue won with her song "The Way That You Love Me" by just four points ahead of 2nd placed Uzbekistan. In the grand final, the song came in 7th place with 273 points, only just missing out on an automatic qualification position. In the 31st edition, they were represented by Vancouver Sleep Clinic and the song "Someone to Stay", which qualified once again to the grand final in Lillehammer.

Please don't expect  Israel's return this edition.  It's unlikely, but not completely ruled out yet. For time reasons a full statement will be released in due course. If I may add something: This time Israel's next participation in the draws is slowly coming up on the horizon (respectively not - that's open for imagination  ). |
