Gilberto, is there a possibility of the continuation of the same procedure without the semi-final recaps being published? (just like italix said) Then, through messages or scorewiz forms, you'd collect the votes and announce the results on the forum, while a recap for a Grand Final with 26/27 participants would only be needed to make. But if that still is not a viable option for you, I would opt for a Grand Final with 30 participants. At the same time, I do completely understand your tiredness, and decreasing interest and that you might need a break at this point.

I totally understand what you’re getting at, as hosting a contest contains confirmations, making videos, collecting votes and making the results. And you do everything on your own, so I can imagine it being hard. I voted 30 participants as I find 35 or 40 too much.

I guess every single contest manager can relate. I've been hosting my contest for over 4 years and a half and I can't count the times I wanted to stop it. Online song contests are supposed to be fun, but they more often than not cause stress to the managers. I don't think there's a way to run a contest without stress, unfortunately. But if there's a way to reduce it, go for it. I'm still not sure how one person can manage a contest with 40+ participants. Kudos to you. Also maybe drop the Special Editions or at least two per decade. Might as well do it whenever you feel like it, to mix things up. Do what you think is best for you and then what's best for the contest, I'll support your decision either way. Good luck

I voted for 30 participants. And that's simply because (similar to what italix wrote) it can be hard to just vote in a final of 26 and then imagine this to be suddenly 45... If there's going to be a system introduced which is the basis on which the countries have to withdraw, I'd kindly ask for it to not be based on the results (maybe make it alphabetical or so instead?)? Considering I have Angola and normally stay out in the semi final I'd probably loose all the fun about it being badically assured of sitting out every second (or whatever) edition.
- I'm willing to give my own spot for someone else, so that at least one more player gets the chance to join. Yeah that's definitely not what we're going to do.

We could do the players limit like Eurovisión 1994-2003, that is make a average points of each country in each edition. And the most higher of average points countries, that countries are qualified for the next edition. And the rest must be withdraw for the next edition.

Maybe the countries could be just be put in like 5 groups (or however needed) that are just randomly put together (not geographically nor "strength" again please) and then that's how they'resitting out. And if someone would have to sit out in a hosting edition he'll just do that one and sitting out at the next possibility (and afterwards to be moved back to the original group to make things not too confusing.).

Here's my two cents for what it's worth
1) I voted for 30, just because I don't want to put you through more work than is necessary 2) I honestly really like the idea of a "pqr" or a "NNMC style top 20", just because that way, it doesn't feel like we are getting the short end of the stick as newer players (i've only been here for 3 full editions), and as Ashley touched on, time zones are a pain, and it would suck if one of us misses out on this for that reason. 3) I just want to say, congratulations Gilberto. I wish you the best in your professional life.

I've done finals with 40+ entrants in Philruto's contest. And he was doing that every single week, albeit without a recap video but still... It gets super tiring and tedious for players and it gets overwhelming for hosts to maintain so many participants
- 30 players as the limit - Next edition first come, first served. After that the bottom 10 to be relegated with other players allowed to fill the spots in the same way - If theres short spaces at the end of the confirmation period players got relegated get reprieved in order of positioning (e.g. 21st takes the 1st spare spot, 22nd the next etc..) - Gil as contest host gets an automatic pass into each edition regardless of his result. - Possibly a top 12 (15,12,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1) voting system could work but normal one is probably also fine
