28th! And another last place in a special edition is in the bag. It's already the 4th one. It's also quite funny that I'm having hardly any success in this, yet these are the "only" last places of mine. I'm ofc a little disappointed about it, but I always knew that this entry was never going to be not that much of a success, but I'm happy at least a few people (at least kind of) enjoyed it. Thanks to Cyprus and Spain for , Latvia for and the Philippines for . And the rather obvious winner, but the points are lower than expected. I also love that it was something like a horserace between USA and Turkey until both suddenly stopped getting points. Chile is an amazing third place. I'm also really happy that Chile was appreciated - kind of unexpected seeing it that much liked though. Oh and btw. I just noticed that these 3 were my and . Well, that was a shock. Myself, can't really say a lot more about the results - also I guess I shouldn't because calling others "overrated" this time is rather inappropriate actually.
A few other people have mentioned their personal decade. Well for me it's not worth any more mentions I guess. In fact I only 4x made it even to the top 20 (including a 20th place) and only 1x to the top 10 ... I'm just hoping to get this some increase because looking at my Wiki it tells me that throughout the last 4 decades (which I believe to be a little more than 2 years) I've placed only 13x within the top 20 and got only 4 top 10s (at least 2 of them are 2nd / 3rd). That was a very creative way to announce the results. And even more since (at least to me) came out of nowhere. It was really exciting, but I think I'd still prefer the usual way. No offense, but that's just because it's much shorter. And if I may leave a suggestion for a next time: I'd like to have heard the 10 remaining countries when you were entering the top 10. Since many entries didn't get any I was a bit like "Oh yeah, that one was also in".

On the results of this edition: I would not have anticipated to do this badly, but then I am not disappointed about it either. Thanks to Armenia; Chile; Montenegro; and Switzerland for supporting my entry In general, there were quite a lot of surprises. For instance, top 10 placings of Ukraine and Turkey added unexpected positivity to the results, while I would have loved to see the latter even winning. I am also happy with the placements of Finland; Italy; Chile (a nice surprise as well, even though I have not voted for it); and Latvia (the same goes here). On the other hand, I consider, in particular, Montenegro and France underrated. Finally, I would like to congratulate the United States on the occassion of winning On presentation style: Interesting presentation form this edition, what I liked about it was its nerve-wreckingness, apart from the fact that you have been a really good host I believe it would be even better if the remaining 10/5/3 countries would be displayed on the recap video after announcing the rest of the results. Just one con: Personally, I like it better when each country's is revealed, and accordingly, those songs are played. But this is not a criticism, just my personal preference Well-done! On the decade: Mixed results, and on average, this was not much different from any other decades. Usually, I gather 12-20 points throughout a decade, and that was the case this time as well. On another note, I believe my top 5 results came from unexpected songs while the songs that I believed would do well failed mostly. A nice indication that it is better to try diverse entries so as to get good results. Anyway, thanks for once another edition and good luck to everyone participating in the Awards

Wow, another top 10 for Ukraine, thank you very much! Thank you for 12 points Latvia, Italy and Austria! Congratulations USA, it was quite expected, but the song is good! A very interesting and difficult to evaluate edition... I am sorry that not all the songs that I liked had enough points. Thank you for the idea and excellent hosting, as always! I would like to continue someday...

Regarding the presentation of the results, I just don't know, it felt a bit weird to be honest. I didn't mind it though, it was quite interesting. Maybe it'd be even better if you could add some background nerve-wrecking music (maybe the one you also used for the results video of some previous edition, which is also used in Themed results videos) to make it even more intense. I thought about that, but everything was done in powerpoint and after a few attempts I had no success inserting dramatic music. Would have to add it after the fact but didn't think of it. Considering I just got this idea a few hours before the deadline and still made it work in time is shocking to me (everything is technically live, but I edited out a glitch and some mistakes). Btw, to everyone. This isn't supposed to be the new way to present the results. I just thought it would be nice to have a different results presentation on a Special Edition, unlike the last time the results were presented from bottom-up (but the reason for that was trying to reduce the work with presentations, which didn't even make it shorter in the end).
I did manage to make it 2 minutes shorter, but with intro and outro it already takes some more time. As mentioned above, I didn't really think about it too much as the idea came out of nowhere and I just had to do it. If this is to be done again I'll consider listing the 10 countries as well (or at least put them on the screen). I think it was (probably) way more exciting to watch this in cytu.be as everyone had time to react, while if you're watching alone it probably gets boring.

Just one con: Personally, I like it better when each country's is revealed, and accordingly, those songs are played. But this is not a criticism, just my personal preference Well-done! I do agree with the presentation style, even though a few songs being played over and over might get annoying too, I still prefer it that way. On the other hand I don't know how, if possible, I could incorporate a host in the regular presentation style.
Sorry for double posting, but when will the voting in the awards commence? Today in the afternoon - whenever I'm able to.

I guess I should say a few words as well Firstly, congratulations to the winner! Secondly, I want to say, that in any other edition USA, Canada & Germany would've got my points, but not in this one, because, as I've said it already, I know you all could've found something more traditional, than what you did, but in the end it's your choice... though I feel like canadian entry was the least traditional of all in this edition, because it's more like a compilation of world music, not a traditional canadian music. If you read the description of the song/album, you'll see, what I mean. But I guess I have to congratulate you anyway. As for my own result - I did expect to be in top10, just didn't know, where I'll land... 5th is a nice position, though I would've loved to beat Canada due to the reason I mention above (yes, I know some of you might think it's a stupid reason, but that's how I feel). And even though I am happy with my result, there's a bit of bitterness too, because this was my last shot for awards, which sadly didn't happen... But I can say, that this isn't the last of latvian folk music you'll hear from me, so be ready Oh and thank's to those of you, who awarded their points to my entry I would've loved for this edition to finally be the one, where the winner is unpredictable, but that didn't happen due to a reason I don't need to mention... But I still hope someday there will be an edition, where the winner will be unpredictable overall I am happy, that this edition took place All in all I hope this edition was a good inspiration for everyone to consider sending such music more often P.S. I know some of you might not like my opinion/-s, but I feel like it's better to reveal truth, that hurts, than to say only sweet lies... And with truth in this case I mean my true feelings/opinion P.S.S. Absolutely forgot to mention - I didn't expect the results to be hosted as a live com, but I definitely don't mind that! (maybe for 100th edition as well?) A bit of drumroll or dramatic music would've made it a bit more nerve-racking, but other than that it was still enjoyable Anyway, thank's to Nijat for the theme and Jasna for making it happen!
