confirms Luna - "Free Love" Actually Kristina Gerasimova was NOT born in German Federal Republic but in German Democratic Republic and since her father was in the Soviet Army, I don't even know if they stayed in the country after the re-unification. Unless she was really raised in Germany, this connection with Germany seems very light to me, especially for a borrowing country...

confirms Luna - "Free Love" I thought Luna was just Ukrainian, how can she be sent for Luxembourg? Don't borrowing acts have to be 100% native to the other country?

The German Democratic Republic didn’t exist like 2 months after she was born so I’m still considering it Germany, and the rules state that as long as someone was born there, they can participate for the country. Plus according to her wikipedia page, she was raised there for a few more years before returning to Ukraine. Maybe next edition, I’ll adjust these rules if enough people want the change but I’ve allowed this entry, even if the connection is light.

She was born and raised a few years in Germany, but I haven’t made rules stating that borrowing acts have to be 100% “native” to the other country. Just that they follow one of the rules for entrants which she does by being born there. Next edition I might adjust the rules but so far, this entry isn’t breaking any rules I’ve put out so I can’t DSQ it or anything.

Sorry but I dont think that the sence of this rule is to take a entry which has absolutely nothing to do with the participating country

why is Luxembourg normally allowed to borrow anyway? It's bigger than both Iceland and Malta who aren't allowed to borrow and has a big enough scene of its own

I've honestly found it difficult to find much of a music scene there. I think it makes more sense for Luxembourg to borrow rather than Iceland or Malta, as they both have more distinguished ethnic identities in their countries and also don't really have one or more countries where it makes sense for them to borrow from.
