This was an insanely close result. The closest result I've ever had to deal with in any contest, ever. It came down to breaking a tie in the number of points rewarded by the ROTW vote. If you didn't think it was worth voting ... think again. For real. A lot of behind-the-scenes verification needed to be made regarding how to break this tie. I got different answers. However, we are happy with the result, as the winning song has more sets of , so it's probably deserved. We will have more definitive tie-breaking rules set in the future.

We're coming to deliver!
For the 7th of November, the national broadcasters AzTV, ČT, ERT, RÚV, RTL, RTVA, RTVS and SVT are joining their forces in hosting theSuper Saturday Show where the broadcasters will reveal their entries for the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
Despite not holding a joint national selection this edition, both Czech Republic and Slovakia will be selecting
internally and delivering taste to the competition. The host country has even made a teaser about their entry, as well as the southern nation
of Greece. Despite many speculations in the media, their entry remains unknown.
Luxembourg joins the party without knowing their entrant or the method of selection, but that's alright, there's a place for everyone.
There's surely some place for Iceland too which will reveal their winner of Ferðin til Bratíslava #34. We will witness Andorra
revealing their winner of the "Made in Andorra". Is it going to be a bop or not?
After missing to qualify by only one point in the last edition, Azerbaijan is coming back stronger with the entrant being chosen in their
iconic national selection layihə: Northvision 34. Sweden isn't less iconic as the Nordic country will reveal their entrant winning the
thrilling thirty-fourth edition of the Fantasifestivalen.
As it is clear to see, the upcoming Saturday will be an adventure. We invite you to join this adventure!

 DNS 31 COMES TO AN END! Oslo, Norway • 3 November 2020 On Saturday evening the 31st edition of Den Norsken Sangen concluded. 10 acts fought for the right to represent Norway at the upcoming edition but only one made it. NRK is proud to present the next Norwegian representative:
GIRL IN RED • "RUE" Marie Ulven Ringheim (most known as girl in red) is an indie pop singer-songwriter from Horten, Norway. Ulven coined the stagename "girl in red" after attempting to identify herself in a crowd to a friend via text. She is known for appealing to people with her "bedroom pop anthems about romance and mental health." Her single "I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend" has gained over 150 million streams online, and was listed at No. 9 on The New York Times list of "The 68 Best Songs of 2018".
 
Openly gay, Ulven has been named a "queer icon" by Paper, and a "phenomenon" that is "one of the most astute and exciting singer-songwriters working in the world of guitar music" by The New York Times. Since 2019, Ulven has been on two North American tours and two European tours and has performed at festivals such as Lowlands, Rock en Seine and Øyafestivalen. She was named by NME as "one of the most hyped acts at The Great Escape" in 2019.
After coming pre-last with "we fell in love in october" in DNS 26, Marie came back stronger and managed to win the hearts of Europe with her self-written piece "rue", tied the record of Ruben from last edition receiving 12 points from 15 juries and won the ticket to the Grand Final of North Vision Song Contest 34 in Bratislava representing Norway.
"rue" is the start of an exciting new chapter; a track which swirls with ominous depth as Marie’s sound outgrows the confines of the bedroom pop that’s been tagged beside her name before today. Explaining why "rue" came to be, Ulven explains "I wrote this song for my loved ones who are affected by my mental health. i will always try my best to get better for them, and i am forever grateful for their presence in my life."
