FRANCE Richard Cocciante was born in Saigon in 1946 from an Italian father and a French mother. French is his native language, then he learned Italian when his family moved to Rome after Vietnam obtained independence from France. His entire life (and career) has been shared between his two countries. He recorded a total of 40 albums (15 in French, 21 in Italian and 4 in English). In 1987, he released the song Il mio rifugio for the French movie Tandem (by Patrice Leconte).
Challenges matched: c. and d. Language: Italian e. Male soloist g. Genre: ballad h. Associated with a movie. Timeslot: 1:17This song is actually a cover from that other one, released in 1976 - but I guess that challenge a. refers to the version of the song we use, not the first version of the song. Bonus video: a cover of the song was made by Hélène Ségara in 2016:
