Hungary returns to Retro WWWSC to celebrate this big anniversary! Congrats to Laurinda for making it so far, this is really amazing! To make the most of this appearance, I've decided to go with something special. Hungary used to have a big song festival which gave us many evergreens, these songs are still very popular here. The last edition of this "Táncdalfesztivál" even produced Hungary's very first entry to ESC in 1994. I'm sending one of my favourite songs and performances from the festival, so I present to you the winner of 1968! Artist: Zsuzsi Mary Song: Mama (In the song she asks her mama to let her out to her love, turns out quite funny. ) PictureTime slot: from 00:29 And it ticks the following boxes: a: 1968 b: born on 13 October 1947, the festival was held at summer, so she was 20 She would have her birthday today! Tragically, she took her own life 9 years ago on Christmas Day. c: Hungarian

For this special edition, I'm bringing back a returning artist, which participated in edition #53. The reason for it being the fact, that her song completes the most challenges (from all my options), not because of her previous result. I've chosen Larisa Mondrusa with her 1963 song "Dlya Teh, Kto Zhdyot" (eng: "For those, who are waiting"). Challenges completed - 6: A, B, C, D, G, H. (more specific info in spoiler) 1. A - song released in 1963. 2. B - Larisa was born in late 1943, which makes her 19/20 years old when the song was recorded. 3. & 4. C & D - song is in russian. 5. G - song is a lyrical ballad mixed with a bit of jazz sounds. 6. H - the song was a soundtrack of a popular Soviet television musical and entertainment program "Голубой огонёк" (the music video is actually a live recording of that show in 1966).

I was originally going for a Swiss German song from 2010, but then found out that I have quite the bunch of other songs available and decided to throw it away for this edition.
In other words please enjoy:
Paolo Meneguzzi - Aria Ariò
Timeslot: 1:54 - 2:19 PaoloTo my knowledge this is Paolo's debut single. And it's also the one song he managed to win the 1996 edition of the music festival in Viña del Mar representing Italy. I'm quite shocked to realize how few times I actually considered Paolo.
It completes quite a bunch of challenges: b) Paolo was born in December 1976 and making him 19 years old since the festival is held in February. c) and d) It's in Spanish. e) self-explanatory
