India will be represented by actress and singer Tulsai Kumar in Barcelona with her new song "Tanhaai" - roughly meaning Loneliness or Solitude
The touching lyrics of this pop-rock ballad detaile copying with immense heartbreak, Tulsi menionted in an interview with Box Office India that independent songs (i.e. not playback songs) enable the artist more creative freedom for expression. Bollywood films often see artists singing for the character, with the main actor taking centre stage whilst the singer will often go unseen
Tulsi commented the following under the official T-Series video:
"#Tanhaai is special in every way for me and the entire team. Thank you to each one of you who are already giving it so much love, continue to pour in you love. Love, Tulsi Kumar"
