While watching the recap before the results I noted down the following as possible winners: Germany, Mexico, USA, Portugal and Turkey with the fun entries for Slovenia and Austria as dark horses. I originally had also added Armenia to the dark horses, but that's probably not enough So let's see: It looks like I wasn't quite correct, but at least all of them, but 1 made the top 15 lol. But I'm surprised about their results. I didn't like Turkey and , but wow? Unexpected winner. And I'm not quite a fan of it if I may say this. Personally this wasn't on my radar, but imo Cyprus deserved the 2nd place. The results may not correspond too much with how I voted, but thinking about it I'm happy with Ukraine, Malta, China and Mexico placing there. On the other hand is a surprising top 10. It was also funny to see how it received mostly . 16th! At least I tried. Was hoping for something a little better than that (especially as a tribute entry) but I'm not going to be salty about that and even less since I actually understand how one could consider One Life, One soul as very boring song. Thanks for 52 points, however.

Thanks to everyone who supported my entry 18th place is pretty much what I expected, maybe I did even slightly better. This edition is one of those where the points are almost evenly distributed around the board. This also explains how the two countries with the most and didn't even make it in the top 7. Azerbaijan was one of the most obvious winners for me, but I didn't know if the rest would agree with me or rather together agree on something else I find the most underrated. I thought most of them would do better along with and , but not everyone can do well. Congrats to the winner and see you in Azerbaijan next edition ^^

Despite being nominated as a potential winner, my expectation was to land in the second half of top 10 at best (shows why you should not rely on my predictions too much) The victory was therefore surprising, but still a gratifying result of course
I want to thank each and every player that awarded Azerbaijan with certain points, with special thanks to Slovenia and China for the maximum points I am happy to see Ukraine and Austria in top 10, despite not voting for the latter. Switzerland, Finland, Armenia and Russia are the countries that I find particularly underrated, on the other hand.
If I have a right to choose the host city, I would like the next edition to be held in Quba, which happens to be my place of birth. The town is also significant for hosting a number of ethnic minority groups, including Lezgins (Northeast Caucasian ethnic group) and Mountain Jews (in fact there is a compact Jewish settlement called "Red Town" which is exactly where I was born), which, in addition to, Azerbaijani Turks, comprise my ethnic background. Thanks a lot for choosing Azerbaijan as a winner for the second time in a few editions! Congratulations to other players who feel satisfied with their results, and to Jasna for organizing once another nice edition See you soon!

25th, worst result in 22 editions and 21 with one of the strongest French songs ever... I've already seen many robberies in this contest but this one is absolutely incredible...

Well... Thanks for at least not finishing last Thank you, , , and for voting for me. Congratulations to Azerbaijan for his second victory with pretty nice song and see you in 102nd edition, because I'm not going to step up from this contest because of my results. I still have a ton of good songs to send here. And also now I'm going to send just the song which I like without any selections, only my preferences

First of all, I am very happy that this 1st edition for the new century of Retro was held in Cyprus! It was a very nice edition with many nice songs! As for the results, I guess this 2nd place really caught me by surprise! I was not expecting to make it to the podium for the 2nd edition in a row but obviously such a result is more than welcome Hopefully the rest of the century will keep bringing me such results I would like to thank everyone who voted for Cyprus, especially Canada and Croatia for their I would also like to congratulate Azerbaijan and Nijat for this victory! The song was really beautiful and definitely deserved to win! In general, I am mostly happy with the results, assuming I gave to the winner, to the US that landed in 3rd place and Malta, my , came 5th. I also love how Austria ended up in the TOP 10 with that song It was so epic I just had to award it The countries I find mainly underrated are Slovenia, Croatia and Guatemala... See you next edition!

OMG! Thank you for the 4th place, to all who voted for Ukraine! This melody is very popular with us, it is difficult to find someone who did not hear and did not know the name of the composer... Now you've heard it, too, and I'm very happy!
Congratulations to Azerbaijan! This is the only song I voted for in the top-5 (not counting ) This edition was very interesting, thank you very much!

Thanks a lot to for your and to everyone else who gave some points! I think 5x 12 in an edition could be a personal record for me in Retro WWWSC, but I'm not 100% sure about it. Very similar to Edition #99 where I also mainly got 12s or nothing. In any case this a very nice start into the new century Congratulations to Azerbaijan for the victory, a really decent winner Also well done to the host country and to for reaching the Top 3 and to everyone else who did well Thanks for the edition!
