🇸🇬 Singapore returns! 🇸🇬
I return to represent Singapore after being absent for I can't tell how many editions and I am excited to join WWWSC again!
I come back with my favorite song of the year (this is the most played song of this year for me!).
Music-wise it's really simplistic, however, the lyrics hit me the most as it is a perfect description of what it feels like to live in 2020.

 This is good. What does its song title mean? It's hard to directly translate it, because it's only part of the sentence (1st line in a 4-line verse) and it's inflected to answer the question "To whom?". So the direct translation would be something like "(To my) Bay foal". But once you read the verse, the translation changes a bit to say that there's certain type of bridles on the back of the bay foal. It's always hard to translate folk songs directly. But I managed to find that someone has translated this song into french (no english though). Now I don't know how you are with french or how good the translation is, but I would assume that the translation at least should give a good idea of what the song is about. I will add the link to that translation to my original entry post.  Thanks a lot for your effort still.  |
