Cape Verde's entry, we are going asian!!
The second edition of Festival do Praia, has come to the end, the voting was closed due to a clear winner. The next capeverdean representative will be... Naam Naam (Namuun Tsolmon, also known as Namuun or Намуун; born June 3rd, 1987) is a mongolian-capeverdean-portuguese singer. She managed to win the national selection by a huge margin above the second-time runner up Mayra Andrade, with the song... "Gun Tsenher"TS: 2:00 but might change it This will mark the first (and I bet unique) time of the Mongolian language in the contest and the 5th language sent by Cape Verde. ~ CAPE VERDE IN OWN AFRICAVISION SONG CONTEST ~Cape Verde officially debuted in the Own Africavision Song Contest 1, in their debut they got robbed with the song "Loco" by the talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique Jennifer Dias ft. Elji Beatzkilla, placing 13th in the Grand Final. In the second edition we said YES to male singers and sent Djodje with "Atrevido", getting robbed again placing 17th in the Final. The robberies streak finished in the 3rd edition thanks to Lisandro Cuxi, who's song "Dançar" managed to achieve the 4th place in the contest, giving it's first AQ spot to Cape Verde and so far the best placement of the archipielago. The Grand Final place was obtained by Yasmine, who won the first edition of Festival do Praia with "Quem é?", who finished in a respectable 19th position. Jennifer Dias finally got her revenge in the 5th edition, achieving the 5th place alongside Sureno Beatzz & Supa Squad with the song "Boom". Mongolian-Capeverdean singer Naam managed to win the second edition of Festival Do Praia by a huge margin with "Gun Tsenher", automatically classified to the final she will be the first Asian to represent the African country.
Cape Verde has still a 100% qualification streak and is one of the five countries with its presence in all finals alongside Libya, Zimbabwe, Gambia and Mauritius. Radiotelevisão Caboverdiana © 2021

IT'S YSA FERRER FOR ALGERIA!
Yasmina Abdi, aka Ysa Ferrer, was born in the beautiful city of Oran in 1972, to an Algerian-Egyptian father and a French mother. Now living in Paris, the writer, composer and singer released 6 outstanding albums and is even regarded as the French Kylie Minogue. Ysa's dance/electro style is very popular especially in the gay community where she is considered as an icon. The Algerian delegation is delighted to introduce her unique talent "to the world"... Entirely written by Ysa Ferrer herself, the Algerian entry "To the World" is a catchy electro-pop track tailored for the gay clubs. With this bilingual French-English song, Ysa wants everyone to be their own bitch. It draws comparisons with previous entry "Born an Angel" performed by the fabulous Afida Turner, which was worshipped by the fans but snubbed by the juries. As Algeria never qualified to the grand final, Ysa wants to make her nation proud by finally reaching the last round of the contest and maybe snatching the crown. #YOLO "TO THE WORLD"
