NIGERIAN ENTRY REVEALED
Following a respectable 18th place finish in neighbouring Mauritius, NTA was unsure whether to continue participating, being the most populous country in the competition, and still not reaching the top 10, and whether a re-evaluation of selection methods, or a possible new head of delegation should be considered. However, at the last minute, NTA decided to continue participating for the next edition without any major changes.

ارقص معنا! / Dansez avec nous! Rabat, 01 July 2021 • The search for our next singer has come to an end. It's finally time to present you our next hopeful act for the Own Africavision Song Contest.
As last edition, Morocco is trying to impress the audience with another song in Arabic. And this time, it was decided that Khaoula Moujahid (better known simply as Jaylann) shall represent the North African nation on the stage in Madagascar. She gained popularity with her emotional ballad "Shi waqat", featuring her husband Abdelilah Arraf aka Beathoven.
But if you thought that we will compete with a ballad, then you have been mistaken! We want the crowd to have fun and to dance throughout the whole contest. So Jaylann will be singing "Allo Allo" in the 7th edition for Morocco. Have fun listening to the song and we will see you on the islands of Madagascar!
ALLO ALLO Jaylann m/l: Mohamed Mrabet, Khaoula Moujahid, Abdul Latif

Good luck Jaylann and make us proud! نتمنى لك التوفيق يا جيلان وتجعلنا فخورين! Bonne chance Jaylann et rende-nous fiers!

@chante™ I'm sorry, but can I clarify? Is Egypt already in the final? Does this mean that I can send a more experimental entry? I'm not particularly worried about the last place in the final.

IT'S LOLO ZOUAÏ FOR ALGERIA!
Laureen Zouaï, aka Lolo Zouaï, was born in March 1995 to an Algerian father and a French mother. A native of Paris, her family moved to San Francisco when she was young. In 2019, Lolo released her debut album "High Highs to Low Lows" which was praised by critics. The Algerian delegation is proud to bring this young talent to the Own Africavision stage, following Ysa Ferrer's success and the nation's auto-qualification to this edition's grand final. Written and produced by Stelios Phili and Lolo herself, the Algerian entry "Galipette" is a powerful bilingual hyperpop song: between an explosive and saturated bass and a chorus clearly inspired by French chanson, this unique track opens whole new horizons for Lolo's music.
