CAR CONFIRMS: TENNY TO BRING US BACK TO THE FINAL? Bangui, 26 June 2021 - Last edition, in neighboring Mauritius, Central African Déesse Samira Centro tried to enlighten the continent with her majesty, helped by the amazing video created by the delegation, featuring not-so-local star Wendy Williams. Unfortunately the whole of Africa simply didn't want such an incredible piece of art to steal a spot in the final and win by a shit ton of points, so they just decided to give her a 15th place to add to our collection of results. This time though, the delegation has decided that they want something even more spectacular: that's right. Tenny Nefer, Central African Goddess, born in Bangui to Central African and Lebanese parents and currently living in France, is coming back. Our Queen will sing "Bang Bang" and try to bring CAR its second final after 5 unsuccessful attempts and a last place in the semifinal. Will she manage to do it though? Listen to the song below to find out!
IMPORTANT SIDENOTE: The delegation is currently looking for a replacement video, but won't be able to actually create it and publish it until the very last day of the entry submissions period, that is, Saturday, July 3rd. This means I might also need a little extension just in case.

Libya announces their entryDire addio alla fobia femminileTripoli • 26 June 2021After the sixth-place success of local duo Saleh Yasser and Basher Altarge, Libya is eager to build on such an achievement and confirmed their presence in the Own Africavision Song Contest 7 as a direct finalist. The professional jury had a hard time choosing the perfect act from over 80 submitted entries and had to spend more time than expected in order to make a final decision. Regardless, the revelation of the representative who will be traveling to Madagascar was made by national broadcaster LRT today through the morning news broadcast Good Day Libya. Please welcome...
Aya
Aya Elmansouri, also known as simply Aya, is a British-Libyan indie pop singer-songwriter. Little is discovered about the young singer, however she has regularly uploaded covers on YouTube since 2017, and has started her gigging career in 2020 where she performed across cities such as Portsmouth, Southampton and London. She also released her debut single “She Comes Alive” the same year, which has, to this day, attracted over 100,000 listeners. It is also worth noting that this marks the first time Libya will be sending a female performer to the contest since their debut in the first edition.
Shortly, the singer also made the big announcement on her Instagram which she stated: “I’m so excited to announce that I will be representing Libya in the seventh Own Africavision Song Contest with the song ‘Must Be Ready’. Taking part in such a big event is a project that I’ve worked on so long and I can’t express how happy I am with the final outcome. Writing the song knowing so many people that are feeling trapped and scared of whatever they are experiencing, I hope more than anything that I can give people a moment to forget about everything going on. I can’t wait to embark on this special adventure, and to hopefully have the people in Libya and beyond love the song as much as I do!”

Despite initially confirming under the new delegation, Cameroon will also unfortunately be sitting out of the Own Africavision Song Contest 7 as we are currently focusing on other projects.
A return for the next edition hasn't been ruled out but it is extremely likely.
