Earlier, local media sources across  Burundi began to speculate that an artist had agreed to return to the contest, under the new delegation.
In a press conference today, a representative of the broadcaster confirmed this. An artist will be returning to represent the small African nation. The artist and the song are yet to be revealed, but will be released soon…

  Mizíkí ya Kɔ́ngɔ-Kinsásá na Madagasikari
  Tusse
Born 1 January, 2002, in the DRC, Tousin Michael Chiza, better known as Tusse, is a Congolese-Swedish singer. Currently living in the village of Kullsbjörken in Dalarna County of Sweden, Tusse is known for his successful participations in singing contests. He participated as a singer in the Swedish talent show Talang 2018 (as Tousin Chiza). He made it to the semifinals before being eliminated, receiving praise for his semifinal performance from judge Bianca Ingrosso. Tusse was a finalist in Swedish Idol 2019, and was ultimately declared the winner in the final. Two years later, he took part in Melodifestivalen 2021, where he took part in the third semi final with the song, "Voices". He won the third semi by 32 points over Charlotte Perrelli. He ended up winning Melfest by 57 points over Eric Saade, helped in part by his sweeping the Swedish televote, earning the maximum of 96 points. At Eurovision, he placed 7th in the semi, with 142 points, 91 from the juries, including the German 12. In the final, he performed 25th, sandwiched between the two nations of the Italian peninsula, where he placed 14th, with 109 points, 63 from the public, in an ironic twist of fate from the usual Swedish split. With Eurovision in the rearview mirror, Tusse sent a song to partake in Mizíkí ya Kɔ́ngɔ-Kinsásá na Madagasikari, winning by 1 vote over Mélissa Yansané, who will be invited to the next edition of Mizíkí ya. The song he'll perform in Madagascar is:
