Denmark confirms participation! Copenhagen, Denmark • 31 October 2021
DR has confirmed that the country will be competing in the upcoming 37th edition, set to take place in their neighbours  Sweden. It was also confirmed that the country will be selecting their entry via an internal selection, with the broadcaster putting Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on a pause for an unknown number of editions. According to the Head of Delegation, it could be a while until the selection makes its return. |

 50 COUNTRIES OFF TO SWEDEN!A total of 50 countries have signed up for the thirty-seventh edition of the North Vision Song Contest.
While the  Czech Republic and  Montenegro have confirmed their return to the competition, it is with deep regret to announce the temporary withdrawal of  Armenia. The broadcaster of  Slovenia has decided to pause for another edition.
 Azerbaijan and  Croatia have failed to confirm their participation within the given deadlines and their respective HoDs will get 25% warnings, while their countries will take a one-edition-break.
 Denmark was granted to confirm their participation shortly after the deadline, but their HoD will remain with a 15% warning.
 pr Belarus has failed to reveal their entry for the Pre-Qualification Round on time, leading to their HoD receiving another 25% warning. Unfortunately this means, that Aglan has now reached a percentage level of 100% and will no longer be eligible to compete in the contest as the Head of Delegation of Belarus.
The country will be up for a draw shortly and the previous HoD is allowed to re-apply for the waiting list.

 Julia Jean-Baptiste goes for Monaco
Tuesday, 2 November • 18:00 The Monégasque entry to the 37th edition of the North Vision Song Contest has been revealed - the song "Faux amours" (False Loves) by singer  Julia Jean-Baptiste.
The entry comes out of the blue after an unusually quiet period for the Monégasque delegation as the last two editions have seen national selections Monaco Grand Prix and MonacoStar fill up the schedule, but social media had been totally silent regarding even a selection method or date announcement until today.
Julia Jean-Baptiste is a 28 year-old singer and DJ-for-fun who grew up in Lyon, but has been living in Paris for the past ten years, and is highly influenced by gems from her family that originally derived from the island of  Martinique. She started to play music around 4 years ago touring with her band Pendentif, and loves to make people dance.
Inspired by Bossanova, Julia is "the annoying friend that just takes over the playlist at a house party. But I don't care, everyone always dances and sings to every song in the end." And everyone will be dancing and singing to "Faux Amours" when it wins the 37th edition of the North Vision Song Contest, set to be held in Sweden.
Courtesy of Kwaidan Records, the song is "seductive" and "ageless and immediate with an easy glamour", and adds another aspect of variety to  Monaco's NVSC history. Julia will be hoping to continue the microstate's three edition final streak to make it a fourth consecutive final appearance - breaking the record for Monaco's longest final streak. She follows in the footsteps of Kiara Jones, who finished in 13th place in  Bologna with 214 points.

Hana and Alexandra Matrix to represent
 Bosnia&Herzegovina!
The 20th anniversary edition of BH Vision came to an end, after a spectacular show delivered by the 8 participating acts. In this edition, 30 international juries (including Rest of the World, counted as 1 international jury set, represented by an average of 6 valid sets of votes) casted their votes, so that the next representatives of Bosnia&Herzegovina were successfully selected. With a total of 273 points, Hana and Alexandra Matrix were crowned as the winners of BH Vision #20. This is the first time when they officially participate in BH Vision, however Alexandra & Matrix Band were part of multiple internal selections of Bosnia&Herzegovina, and almost represented the country in  North Vision Song Contest #35. Hana and Alexandra Matrix will fly the Bosnian flag and perform their fresh pop song Samo bogato (Eng. Only Rich), the official entry of Bosnia&Herzegovina in North Vision Song Contest #37. • Hana Mašić, born 17 November 1992, better known as simply Hana, is a Croatian-born singer with both parents from Sanski Most, Bosnia&Herzegovina. She gained popularity in 2018 by participating in the music competition Zvezde Granda. • Aleksandra Ristić, born 31 March 1994, is a Bosnian singer from Bijeljina, who is also part of the popular band Matrix Bend, forming Alexandra & Matrix Band (or, for NVSC #37, just Alexandra Matrix). The band is known in the Balkans for their mash-ups with different singers, of popular songs from the area, including songs of Maya Berović, Jala Brat, Buba Corelli, Senidah, Hurricane, Teodora.

In a statement from BNT: "We remain committed to using the NVSC as a platform for sharing and promoting music from Bulgarian artists and producers to Europe and beyond. PREYAH! Preyah Osassey is a   Bulgarian-born native of Sofia. She has had a stellar career spanning nearly a decade and multiple top ten hits in her home country. Off her latest EP, "Energy," the song is titled "Problem" (Проблем), and it is a collaborative disco-pop track with rapper V:RGO (pronounced like the name 'Virgo'.)
