France confirms participation!Sweden here we come!  France will once again be present at the upcomming North Vision Song Contest 37, to be held in  Sweden. Today, national broadcaster France Télévision manage to broadcast their press conference at their headquarters in Paris, France all regarding their participation in the 37th edition. Head of Delegation Jean Richard and France Télévisions took a moment to thank last edition's representative Requin Chagrin for her amazing achievement in  Bologna, Italy making sure France continues to maintain their qualification streak.
Destination Northvision to return as official selection method During the press conference, it was announced Destination Northvision would again be used to select the French entrant, seeing the successfulness of the selection method. France in the North Vision Song Contest
France has participated in the North Vision Song Contest a total of 33 times, since its debut in the very first edition and obtained quite a few successes since then, qualifying 23 times out of all participations. In all their participations they got placed 2nd, their best placement, a total of 4 times, obtained by: Leslie, Marie-Mai, Dania Giò, and Kendji Girac. A new Head of Delegation took over in the 34th edition, known for his great track record when it comes to qualifications, still to this way unbroken.  Estonia confirms!
Following a strong Performance the previous edition with Pur Mudd giving Estonia another final berth, ERR can confirm that Estonia will continue to participate in the North Vision Song Contest. The HoD said in a press statement, that "thanks to the great public interest fueled by our recent good result it was never in doubt for Estonia to compete in the 37th NVSC edition hosted in Sweden." Just as in the past Estonia will use an internal selection, with the HoD currently in the process of inquiring Estonian songwriters to find the best possible song for Estonia.

 SLOVENIA CONFIRMS ABSENCE IN THE COMING NORTHVISION EDITION
RTVSLO can today confirm that Slovenia will not be making a return in the coming edition of the Northvision Song Contest.
The Head of Delegation could reveal that financial reasons is mostly behind the cause of the absence of the ex-yugo country.
A return in the future has not yet been ruled out.
I have thought about making a return this edition, but as the schedule seems to look atm, I am VERY much busy through out the whole of November,
and I doubt I'd have much time or effort to have NVSC in my schedule as well, unfortunately.
But again, I am still thinking about potentially returning at some point in the future, hopefully.

 The  Czech Republic will return for the North Vision Song Contest #37! After a long period of silence, Czech NVSC fans were extremely worried that the country would yet again miss out on an edition of the beloved music competition, resulting in the creation of petitions and social media campaigns to get an answer from ČT1. Today, the suspense finally ends as the broadcaster held a press conference where they explained the reasons behind the previous withdrawal and simultaneously confirmed the nation's presence at the upcoming contest.
Head of Delegation Julius Horváth provided a statement on behalf of the Czech delegation, citing the broadcaster's internal struggles as the reason behind the absence of the country from the previous edition. Julius explained that ČT1 has lately undergone a major structural change, and this event has seriously endangered the country's remain in the contest, as it seemed like there might not be enough funds nor editorial interest to continue the participation at the competition. Despite this circumstance, the HoD was extremely glad to reveal that the delegation signed a deal with the leadership of ČT1 ensuring the country's presence at the 37th edition. In addition to this update, it was also announced that the delegation managed to secure a partnership with 3 major Czech companies as well as a record label, in order to guarantee a perfect stage performance and a stellar artist and song combination on the international scene.
The press conference did not clarify the precise act that the nation will send to the 37th edition of the North Vision Song Contest, however the HoD has confirmed that the Czech Republic will select its entrant internally, with the help of a newly appointed focus group consisting of representatives of the record label, the HoD, and several other music stars and experts from the country. The announcement of the song representing the country is expected in the coming days, so make sure to keep an eye on all social platforms of NVSC!
Czech fans have been delighted to hear that their nation is back to the contest, with major fan groups already picturing several potential names to compete in the festival, however no clues regarding the entry have yet been released by the broadcaster.

Tunisia Confirms!
Despite a disappointing non-qualification last edition, today via social media the Tunisian broadcaster Télévision Tunisienne 1 confirmed that the country is looking forward to participate in the upcoming North Vision Song Contest.
Preparations have already begun to find the country's next entry. An internal selection process will determine the song which will represent the country. It has been confirmed that the next entry will be in the Arabic Language.
More information will be revealed in due time.

Brussels, 31 October 2021
The Belgian national broadcasters, RTBF & VRT have confirmed the Belgium's participation at the forthcoming 37th edition of the North Vision Song Contest set to be held in Sweden. There were many rumours about other ways to revamp the Belgian selection process. Even if the entries winning Belfestival brought back home three consecutive top ten placements and had been providing the country with amazing results contest after contest, the latest two national finals did not seem to meet the expectations of the Belgian public. Local broadcasters considered moving back to the internal selection process and trialing it again. With two rather mediocre placements in a row, Belgium's broadcasters decided to officialy change the selection method for this edition and announced they will opt for an internal selection with the hopes of changing their fates at the contest. It was moreover revealed that the Walloon broadcaster accepted the responsibility for selecting country's representative to Sweden. Also, it is almost certain that the entry will be performed fully in French.
The last internally selected act, "You Misread Me" by Portland did not receive enough points to make it to the final. The delegation hopes that the implemented changes can reverse a downturn in Belgium's fortunes at the contest in recent editions.
More information and details regarding the Belgian entry are expected to be released in due course.
