La Bronze!!!
Nadia Essadiqi, commonly known by her stage name La Bronze, is a
Moroccan-Canadian singer and actress. Born in Montréal, the 36-year-old singer got to fame in the mucis scene with her Arabic version of one of Stromae's most famous single "Formidable". Besides that and her acting career, she already released several albums and EPs which are very recommended to take a look at as well.
Her entry for OAfSC #10 "Briller" (Engl.: "To shine/sparkle") is one of many songs and the most "pop bonbon" from her upcoming album. She herself says the following about this song:
"J’y évoque la pression que tout artiste, voire tout humain sur les réseaux sociaux, ressent à un moment ou à un autre, ce sentiment qu’il faut plaire à tout prix, au risque d’en oublier qui l’on est."
(There I recall the pressure that every artist, or even every human in social networks, feels one moment or another, that feeling that you have to be liked at all costs, with the risk of forgetting who you are.)
