San Marino has the line up for Festival dei Castelli 15!

San Marino RTV has chosen the songs for its national selection

The microstate received 110 submissions/songs in just 17 days.
The jury has already listened to all of them and has chosen the 22 songs
that will be part of the iconic selection "Festival dei Castelli 15".

The HoD: The selection includes a wild card round with 11 songs,
the most voted song will go to the final
together with the other 11 already finalists.

Stay Tuned, in the next few days you will know the songs of the wild card round,
the poll will be open soon and there will be a video recap!

The Faroe Islands confirm!

In a press conference earlier today, the broadcaster for the Faroe Islands, KVF, announced that the country would be present at the upcoming North Vision Song Contest in their neighbour country, the United Kingdom. The broadcaster will select its entrant for the contest internally. The announcement has been dated to March 2022.

Estonia will go to the PQR!

(and maybe to the UK as well?)

After a long period of deliberation the

Estonian broadcaster ERR has decided that Estonia will continue to participate in the North Vision Song Contest, and therefore also an eventual PQR if necessary. Despite the poor result last edition, high viewership numbers have convinced the national broadcaster to sign-up for edition of NVSC, even at the risk that the country can fail in the PQR already. Another point aside from public interest in the contest that convinced ERR to continue participating is the high interest among singers and songwriters to represent Estonia, even if its just in a PQR. ERR has announced that it has already received song submissions by artists and has already started inquiring record labels in search for a new artist as well. Once again the entry will be selected internally.

The 19-year-old performer

Karin Ann has been referred to as the Slovakian Billie Eilish, for her vocal style, her visuals, as well for her enormous potential. She has been trying to get the ticket to Northvision Song Contest for editions already, coming 3rd in A Choice For Slovakia in #36 with "babyboy" and 6th in Česko Slovenska SuperStar 2 [#35] with "I Yearn for Agony". The 3rd luck is the charm and she swept the voting in the A Choice for Slovakia 2 with 59.1% of votes, making her the official representative of Slovakia in the PQR that will be held in the following month and hopefully in the

United Kingdom.

Her entry "we're friends, right?" takes more rock inspirations, likes of

Billie Eilish's 2nd album or

Geyle. It has a certain grangy feel to it but it still feels authentically hers. We hope that this contemporary sound will stand out more knowing that Slovakia hasn't reach the final in over 3 editions and we are in a very hard situation being in the Pre-Qualification Round. Whatever happens, we wish Karin good luck and hopefully she can at least qualify from PQR.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER! ALGERIA CONFIRMS FOR #38

ENTV can confirm that Algeria will be present for the thirty-eigth edition of the contest. It is believed that the song will once again be selected internally. Despite a current drop in results, the delegation is trusting it's Head Stefan Kayteb one more time. Algeria hopes to finally make it back to the final.

Earlier today, CBC announced that

Cyprus will fly to

the UK under a new head of delegation. Not a lot about the entry has been said so far, only thing known is that it will be selected internally. Expect more news in following weeks.

SELIN TO THE NORTH VISION SONG CONTEST!

This evening, the artist and the song representing

Turkey at the next edition of the North Vision Song Contest was announced. It’s going to be Selin and her song “Gidip Gel” to carry the turkish flag in the Pre-Qualification Round for the North Vision Song Contest #38.

Timeslot: 2:17+

ARTIST AND SONG

Born in Istanbul in 1998, Selin Gecit is a London-raised artist who decided to head back to her country of origin where she estabilished herself as one of the most promising emerging artists of the Turkish pop music. She has recently collaborated with big names such as Mahmut Orhan and Sertab Erener. She previously attempted to represent Turkey at NVSC #35 as a featuring artist with the song "Everything We Had", missing out the first place in the national selection by just two points. This time, she was internally selected as the turkish entry for the Pre-Qualification Round for NVSC #38 where she will compete with other artists from nine different countries hoping she will get the opportunity to represent

Turkey in the

UK, the country she grew up in.

"Gidip Gel" (ENG: Give and Take) will be the first turkish entry featuring english lyrics since NVSC #8.
