15 February 2022. The Swedish Head of Delegation responsible for the North Vision Song Contest of

SVT, Jan Björkman, has now officially confirmed, that the nation will take part in the thirty-eighth edition of the contest, held in the United Kingdom.

FANTASIFESTIVALEN TO SELECT NEXT ENTRY!

Fantasifestivalen 38 will be held in order to select the Swedish host entry. Once again an amount of 32 songs will compete in the selection.

The Head of Delegation,

Jan Björkman, stated the following:
"We are incredibly satisfied with the outcome of the thirty-seventh North Vision Song Contest edition, both from a perspective of organisation and result-wise. Our biggest congratulations to the United Kingdom for their second victory with an entry that is for sure a hit in Sweden, sung by a very talented performer. Despite a twentieth place achieved by phenomenal Lune and Silvana Imam, we are very proud of having showcased a different side of the Swedish music scene and performed a native composition in front of Europe. Preparations for the next Fantasifestivalen shows are already ongoing, and we can promise you one of the most competitive editions yet. A few artists, that have already collected some experience on the North Vision stage, are very excited to be back and hope to join the North Vision family again. Who will fly the Swedish flag in the end, we shall see.

~ Bulgaria confirms participation in NVSC 38! ~

SOFIA, 15/2/2022 -- BNT today confirmed that Bulgaria will be present in

Great Britain for the 38th edition. In an interview with the delegation's representative:

"We performed well enough in last edition to propose setting aside enough budget for another national selection, and we hope the public interest is high enough to engage with the network in finding another amazing participant. We want to achieve that elusive top ten result, and the best way to do that is to let the people decide among a variety of artists and genres."

Along with confirming their participation, the delegation announced they would return to their national selection "Изборът на България (Bulgaria's Choice for North Vision #38)". Viewers should expect to see at least 8 participants fight for the right to represent Bulgaria. The preapproved songs shall be ranked by fans and jurors from favorite to least-favorite, and a number of points will be assigned to each song based on their rank (ex: 12-10-8-6-4-2-1-0). Retaining the revised format from the 34th edition, fellow delegations will have more voting power than the public.

London – The production team of the next North Vision Song Contest has revealed that four hosts were chosen to guide you through the shows. "It was a really hard decision, I must say, we had many great options to choose from but after all we went with the most diverse squad of hosts which we will soon reveal to you."

A hint was given by BBC.

Irish participation in the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest!

I am so, so grateful for my three and a half years (and a win) with Switzerland and I am so excited for this new chapter of my NVSC story (and my third NVSC country).

Switzerland will go up for a draw.

Iceland confirms

16th February 2022 • Reykjavík, Iceland

RÚV has confirmed that

Iceland will be participating in the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest to be held in the

United Kingdom.

The past 2 editions for

Iceland have been successful, especially after an unexpected 3rd place achieved by

BRÍET in the 36th edition. However despite this, the delegation was split on whether or not the country should compete in the

United Kingdom due to budget cuts. In the end, the delegation decided that it would be best to keep the country in the contest.

The artist and song will be selected internally.

News from Ukraine!

The edition in

Sweden came to an end, everyone got into the after-Northvision depression... but not for too long! The Ukrainian delegation can proudly confirm that

Ukraine will participate in the upcoming edition held in the

United Kingdom for the second time in Northvision history!

Much more important are news about Anna Trincher's successor. Is there already anyone? What is rumored? What has been confirmed as well is the national selection "Pivnichbachennya Vidbir Natsionalnii". The 22nd edition of the Ukrainian national selection series will take place with one Grand Final. The selected songs are in the process of approval and hopefully the voting will start very soon. But until then...
