 Austria confirms their participation and holds on to internal selection. ORF has announced their intention to keep participating in the North Vision Song Contest, which will be held in Leeds for the upcoming 38th edition. The Head of Delegation has also announced that there will once more be an internal selection in order to guarantee that the entry respects the individual quality requirements demanded by the team. Submissions for artists and entries have opened and will close before the submission deadline. ORF focuses its search for the upcoming entry to be a female soloist or a group effort after the last artist was a male soloist. Austria has sent alternating gender-varied acts since the 33rd edition and wishes to keep this up.

BELGIUM CONFIRMS!
Brussels, 27 February 2022
The Belgian national broadcasters, RTBF & VRT have confirmed the Belgium's participation at the forthcoming 38th edition of the North Vision Song Contest set to be held in the United Kingdom. While the offıcial method of selecting the successor of Mathilde Fernandez hasn’t been confirmed yet, it is more likely that the country will stick to the same format used in the previous edition and will choose their entry through an internal selection.
More information and details regarding the Belgian entry are expected to be released in due course.

 NORWAY CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION! Oslo, Norway • 27 February 2022 NRK announced in a press conference this morning that  Norway will definitely take part in the next Northvision edition after another top 6 place achieved by Victoria Nadine in  Stockholm. The country will be automatically qualified to the final and Den Norsken Sangen will be hosted once again to determine the Norwegian entry.DEN NORSKEN SANGEN 35 "Submissions have already opened and we can't wait to showcase more Norwegian talent. And not only... We have received some songs from other European countries, that we're still considering. The 10 lucky acts will be announced shortly. Stay tuned."

Tunisia Confirms!
Last edition in Stockholm, Tunisia made it's way to the grand final following four editions of non-qualification, having qualified from the second semi-final where they placed seventh. This marked the 5th time Tunisia had qualified to the grand final in the country's 16 editions of participation. Tunisian representatives Underher and Zanjma managed to achieve a 10th place finish, garnering 255 points, making this Tunisia's 3rd best result ever. The entire Tunisian public was overjoyed at this feat, thus it should come as no surprise that today in a press conference in Sfax El Watania 1 has confirmed Tunisia's presence in the upcoming edition held in the United Kingdom, citing the country's last result in addition to high viewing figures and the broadcaster's elation as the cause.
Keen to continue the country's success, the broadcaster has opted to deviate from it's usual internal selection process and instead has confirmed that a revamped version of Tunisia's previous national selection, The Tune, will be held and used to select the country's next entry. The selection will include 8 songs; 7 of these will be performed by Tunisian singers, either locally or from abroad, and the final from a foreign act. The lineup of artists and their respective songs will be finalized and unveiled soon.

 North Vision Song Contest 38PRE QUALIFICATION ROUND CANCELLEDThe delegations of the participating countries decided that this edition's Pre-Qualification Round is cancelled as only two countries would not qualify from it. Instead all countries will participate in the semi-finals with 21 countries participating in each of them. The chosen host of the PQR,  Latvia, will host next edition's PQR instead. All countries which were initially participating obviously won't be immune from entering the PQR next edition in case they place in the bottom five of the semi finals again.
There'll be 48 countries participating this edition.  Croatia failed to confirm and will therefore not participate this edition. James reached 100%, meaning Croatia is now free.

 ROMANIAN ENTRY REVEAL After another successful edition of Romania's Revival, we can officially confirm that the votes have been concluded and verified.
The first ever  Romanian entry under the current head of delegation has been decided, after the juries from 18 countries and the rest of the world (the only voter being eurovisionfan23) contributed to it.
We would like to thank all of the countries that have voted in our selection, and we'll make sure to vote in yours as soon as possible.
Without further ado, here's the Romanian entry for the  North Vision Song Contest #38. You can find it out in the spoiler below.
EMAA WILL REPRESENT ROMANIA Emanuela Alexa (born April 2, 1992), known professionally as Emaa, is a Romanian singer and songwriter. She became known in 2020 after the release of the song "Insula", in collaboration with  The Motans, which brought her collaboration with Global Records. In the summer of 2021, Carla's Dreams launches its first project with Emaa, and the single "N-aud" quickly entered the music charts in Romania and Moldova.
The song "Atât de noi" (So us) became a runaway winner, with 170 points (30 points margin) from the runner-up, receiving the maximum 12 points score from 8 out of 19 voters.
Entering the top 3 were Yuka with "Aripi de nisip" and Y.A.L. with "Don't Let Me Fall In", which was just confirmed by the head of delegation that will be sent for the OGAN Contest.

We can announce that we have found our next representative for Russia. But before we going to announce our artist for upcoming edition, we will like to welcome the broadcaster who replaced the two old ones, welcome Dozhd (Дождь) also known as TV Rain. I as HoD will keep the work up but for a new broadcaster. That said we can announce that we have picked the duo My (МЫ) will represent the country in the upcoming edition in Leeds! They will perform their song "Luchshiye Druz'ya" (ЛУЧШИЕ ДРУЗЬЯ). Timeslot: 1:25+ We wish them good luck on the stage in Leeds! |

AUSTRIA CHANGES SELECTION METHOD! ORF has initially announced they would select their entry internally. Good news for fans of the sweetest national selection in Central Europe! The Austrian delegation has had a last-minute change of heart, confirming a third edition of Kaiserschmarrn to be hosted after a one-edition break in which Thorsteinn Einarsson was selected internally. Due to a high submission rate, Austria's next entry will be determined by a mix of public voters and an international jury, albeit with a slightly revamped system for the former group.  The voting is scheduled to open at the weekend and will be closed shortly before the presentation deadline.
