Slovenia is back to the contest! It has been three long editions without Slovenia in the Northvision Song Contest and finally we are back in the game! While it is not officially confirmed, it is very likely that the method of the selection will be internal. sorry for the lack of formatting, but i am so so glad to start a new chapter in NVSC with Slovenia!! The bar is set high as some of the last entries Slovenia sent are my absolute favorite songs in the whole contest history. Hopefully I'll have more luck than with Montenegro hdsgfhf

ARMENIA IS BACK
After months of long discussions, the Armenian broadcaster AMPTV has finally made a decision to come back to North Vision after two editions of non-participation!
- There are still internal things going on our broadcaster, but we missed the contest. With a help of sponsors, we will travel to Andorra - said the new HoD.
AMPTV invited everyone to submit their entry through THIS link.

It's good to be back Lebanon will return to the North Vision Song Contest for the thirty-ninth edition, it has been confirmed. The country made a last-minute withdrawal from the thirty-eighth edition in Leeds following financial and organisational difficulties within its broadcaster LBC, but will be back to make its thirty-third appearance at the upcoming contest – wherever it may be held. The country’s Head of Delegation announced in an interview on the channel’s nightly news bulletin that “short-term solutions” for the broadcaster’s troubles had been found, allowing the country to commit to participating for “at least the next couple of editions”.
« We are thrilled to be returning to North Vision with, in addition to improved physical resources, renewed energy and motivation. Although we can’t promise to bring the contest to Lebanon for the second time, we can certainly promise to do our best to continue showcasing the amazing musical diversity that Lebanon and its diaspora has to offer. » Prior to its withdrawal, LBC had shortlisted eight artists and songs to compete in a refreshed mahrajan al’aghnia, and it had been previously announced that these artists would be given first refusal should a national selection be held upon the country’s North Vision return. It has since been announced that mahrajan al’aghnia will be used for the third time to select the Lebanese entry, and that – pending NBU approval – currently all eight artists seem keen to participate for the chance to follow in Venus Bleeds’ footsteps and represent the country on the North Vision stage.
More information on mahrajan al’aghnia is expected to come in the following days.
Lebanon's NVSC journey made the best possible start as Nicole Saba won for the country on its debut in the fifth edition with 'Hafdal Ahlam', bringing the contest to Beirut for the sixth edition and starting a (to this day unmatched) three-edition qualification streak. The country's results from then on were rather turbulent, including two four-edition streaks of non-qualifications, although Myriam Fares achieved Lebanon's second best result with 'Nifsi Aoulhalak' in the fourteenth edition: second place.
A new delegation stepped in for the twenty-fourth edition, bringing Lebanon back to the final with Nelly Makdessy's 'Kunt Atmanna' in Vienna, and achieving three top ten results for the country (with 'Call Me a Stranger', '22' and 'Dear Jealousy') before passing the baton on to the current delegation team for the thirty-fourth edition onwards, returning to the final – and to the top ten – with Azure Ryder's 'Stronger'.
Brought to you by the Lebanese Head of Delegation on 19th June 2022

Tunisia confirms
After failing to qualify to the grand final of the Northvision Song Contest for the 13th time in its history of participation, Tunisia’s repeated presence at the contest was in doubt. Rumors began circulating that the broadcaster will cease participation due to the cost of hosting a national selection yet having still failed to reach the grand final. However, the Tunisian broadcaster Télévision Tunisienne has confirmed that the North African country without a doubt intends to participate in the upcoming edition of the song contest that will be presumably hosted in Andorra. Moreover, it was confirmed that “The Tune!” which served as last edition’s method of selection will be hosted once more and be used to find the country’s next entry for the upcoming edition. Despite the selection’s last edition winner, Lella Fadda with her song “Akher Ayam El Madina" ’s, non-qualification in the actual Northvision Song Contest, the head of delegation has heralded the selection method as success in raising local interest in the contest and amplifying the voices of the Tunisian music scene and of Arab singers in general.
The head of delegation stated: “Although this selection was unable to produce a qualifier-worthy song, it has given the opportunity to Tunisian singers to gain exposure both within Tunisia and around the world. The selection hasn't just been used by Tunisian singers to share their music to the world - Singers from across the Arab world, such as those whose countries don’t participate in the Northvision Contest, have been able to use the festival to be able to participate in the contest, as did Lella from Egypt last edition, whose country hasn’t participated since the 31st edition. Moreover, the selection has increased awareness of the contest within Tunisia and across the Arab world, and going forward, we hope more singers will be encouraged to enter the selection and that countries from the region who don't participate will be inspired to take part once again. All-in-all we are content with what the selection has been able to achieve, but will still strive to better it.”
For the most part the national selection will be similar to last edition. However, there will be eight competing songs this time around, up from the previous seven of last edition. Seven of the competing songs will be sung by Tunisian singers, either those based locally or abroad from the Tunisian diaspora. And one will be sung by a foreign act from the Arab world and or of Arab descent. There are discussions about changing the voting format and introducing a superfinal between the top songs, but nothing has been set in motion. An open call encouraging singers to send in their songs to the broadcaster has been put out and the final lineup will be announced in due time.

North Vision Song Contest 39CONFIRMATIONS HAVE CLOSEDThis edition, there will be 52 participating countries.
Sweden failed to confirm and will therefore not participate for the first time since the contest began. Jan will receive a warning. The fate of the country will be determined at the end of this edition by the council if the player has not established contact to the council or staff in time.
The Pre-Qualification Round will be hosted by Latvia, with ten competing countries and four qualifiers.
In addition to that, we have established an approval system similar to Fantasia Contest, in which we no longer inform each individual country once their entries are approved and only if one or more entries were rejected. You may see the status of all approvals by clicking here!
