Daniel,FYROM may was part of Ancient Macedonia, and you point isn't right It's not about being part of A.M. or not,it's about the name. When Yugoslavia splitted, then they suddenly remembered that they were part of A.M.? Poland may was part of Germany, but it has other name now. That's why I'm saying your point isn't right. If they changed the name e.g. Former Yugoslav Republic we wouldn't have any problem Sorry got it wrong! I thought it's about that piece of land lol But I still don't get why it is a problem that they have taken the name "Macedonia". It's just a name, I mean, okay I'm too silly to get it I guess In my world there wouldn't be those problems but okay. Human stupidity. (I mean the whole argue, not you!) Also don't get why they just can't change their name but I'll just shut up now. Dude,Macedonia holds almost 2,000,000 people of Greece How can a small piece of land steal our name cuz they ran out of ideas for their name?

Wait. As I learnt from history, the northern part of the region was never part of Greece, was it?

I just found out how many American cities are named "Athens". It's getting quite ridiculous if we keep talking about name dispute

^So Athens has history. The name Athens has history. Now I don't get why they're not complaining about that?

I will just shut up because I don't get it at all Should appeal to that topic in politics. My opinion: Both sides have really cheap arguments. Greece: Why is a name a problem? Macedonia: Why don't you just change your name?

Macedonia was an empire..... athens is a town... athens in usa is again a small town... '' macedonia '' is a country.. so they took the name of an empire! and put it on their country's name! still you don't understand, guys?
