Some of us in the forum are from Spain (as you know), and I know that some people are learning Spanish or want to learn it. So I've decided that if you want, and you've doubts about the language, or you want to know about some culture, or simply talk about Spain, we can post a message here

1. As the Philippines have been colonized by Spain for 300 years, some of our grannies actually speak fluently in Spanish and some Spanish words remain to be spoken here but now differs in spelling (i.e. silya (chair), bintana (window), la mesa (table), the counting system, etc.). In Zamboanga, they use a dialect called, Chabakano, which is sorta like Spanish (and if you're a non-Spanish speaker, you'll be deceived that they're actually speaking in Spanish but if you know Spanish fluently, you'll notice that their grammars are wrong). 2. ¡Hola! Me llamo Liev. Estoy veinte años, estoy malo en Español y soy de Filipinas. ¡Gracias! 3. I know you guys have this pattern: yo, tu, el/ella/usted, nosotros/vosotros, ellos/ellas/ustedes 4. Prayers (Rezos): Sign of the Cross: En el nombre del Padre, del Hijo, del Espiritu Santo. Amen. Our Father: Padre nuestro que estas en los cielos, santificado sea al tu nombre, venga a nosotros tu reino hagase (Okay, now I'm lost). Hail Mary: Dios te salve Maria, madre de Dios (Okay, now I'm lost again). Glory Be: Gloria al Padre, al Hijo, y al Espiritu Santo como era en un principio ahora y siempre por los siglos de los siglos. Amen. 5. I want to learn Spanish too as I have some bits of roots from España but I easily get confused with it and I'm now forgetting what I have learned in my 4th year college.
