Special interview with Triin Niitoja and Jaanus Saago (John 4)

Good morning guys, how are you?

Jaanus: We're fine and excited for the big show, but really tired at the same time, we've been practising a lot during the last few days.

Are you excited for the Northvision Song Contest?

Triin: A LOT! (rofl)

We're working really hard and I can't wait to sing on that stage for

Estonia, I can't really. But at the same time I'm also afraid something could possibly go wrong.. hopefully not, (laugh)

Did you have the chance to listen to some of the released songs? Have you got any favourites so far? And most of all, are you satisfied by the feedback "Jää" has received abroad?

Triin: I actually gave a really quick listen to about ten of the released songs, I really love some of them, especially

Algeria and

Romania! I also heard

Yohanna is going to take part too this year, which is sooo amazing because I've been listening to her songs a lot during the past few years, and she's been my favourite singer for a while. Also,

Marina And The Diamonds is such a big name and a talented singer, and I'm really looking forward to meeting her in

Tel Aviv!

Jaanus: I haven't been as lazy as Triin, (laugh)

Jaanus: .. I listened to all the released songs of the competition so far. I really love

Germany,

Finland and

Spain and I think they're going to do really well.

Other than that, we're really satisfied about the feedback "Jää" received so far, we're on top of the charts and we'd also love to be on top of the Northvision final rank haha. (drool)

Triin: I'd also like to thank everybody for your sweet messages, our official and personal facebook pages get daily stormed by "good luck" messages, which are really warming and mean so much to us. We'll try our best to make you all proud! (love)

Are you going to do any promotional tours?

Triin: Well, lately we've been travelling to a lot of places around

Estonia but we're going to have a small European tour next week, before the rehearsals in

Tel Aviv start. We're going to visit

Sweden,

Norway,

The United Kingdom and

Ireland!

Jaanus: We'll also have a stop-over in

Bucharest on our way to

Tel Aviv and we think it would be a great occasion to organize a little fan-meeting there!

ERR presents the official NVSC version of "Palume Lavale" along with the official video!

It's been a busy week for Ithaka Maria and her team. After winning North Laul 14, she started working on what her performance in

Kazakhstan will look like, besides recording the NVSC version of her song, "Palume Lavale", and the official music video of the song.

I'm putting really much effort in it and there are many things to think about, but I enjoy it because I love to work and improve things.
I'm just so grateful people gave me the chance to show Europe what I can do, my team and me will try to manage a great show there.
I want to show people their votes weren't spent invain

Plans for the National Selection revealed!

As usual, ERR will opt for the annual music festival, North Laul, to select the

Estonian contestant for the Northvision Song Contest.

In a general meeting held yesterday, after the official confirmation has been announced,
ERR officials discussed about the plans for the upcoming edition of North Laul.

The submissions for Estonian artists and composers are currently open
and a jury panel will select the six lucky finalists who will proceed to the live show.

The format of the selection will remain the same
as the one used during the past few years
so the live show will be made, as usual, of two rounds:
the First Round and the Superfinal.

The date of the show was also set to Saturday, 6th June.

Additionally, it was announced that ERR will leave the Nordea Concert Hall
in Tallinn, in favour of the newly built Tondiraba Arena, located
in the Lasnamäe borough of the capital.

Mr. Hellesburgh, official HoD of the country, stated about the decision:

North Laul became a really popular show among the public and we want
to give everybody a chance to attend the festival. I'm sure the Tondiraba
staff will provide us everything we need for an unforgettable evening.

The arena has room for 7.000 people, and it includes a better
audio equipment and trussing system.

Dates of the live show announced!

Preparations at the Tondiraba Ice Arena in Tallinn are in full swing for North Laul 15!

It was earlier announced by an ERR spokesperson that the date of the live show was set

on Saturday, 4th July 2015.

All the tickets were sold out in two days, meaning an impressive audience

will fill all the 7.000 seats of the multi-purpose arena.

ERR is currently working on the production of the show: the cameras,

the sound and the stage have to be completely functional by the 4th of July.

Are you ready?

After a wonderful and exciting evening, ERR has finally revealed the full outcome
of North Laul 15, the Estonian national selection.

Prior to the superfinal, NION and Elina Born were leading in the first round and therefore advanced
to the final stage of the competition.

Both singers performed their songs again and lines were opened again to the public.
After an exciting battle, the 21-years-old singer from Lehtse, Estonia, finally won the whole competition.

Elina Born will represent Estonia with the song "Fall With Me", written and composed by Stig Rästa.
The official preview video has been released earlier today:

I'm so happy right now, I feel absolutely amazing! I just can't find the words to describe how
much I wanted to represent Estonia again at the North Vision Song Contest and I promise I will do it
in the best way I can!

- Elina said right after the show.

Keit Triisa, the NION lead singer also reacted:

She deserved it, she was literally a diamond on stage!
We are just a bit upset that we barely missed it, but we're still surprised that so many people liked us
and our performance. We'll definitely try again this awesome experience, and we can just wish
best of luck to Elina in Copenhagen!

Who will take part in North Laul 17?

Earlier today, an official ERR spokesperson announced via twitter that the submissions
for North Laul #17 were officially closed.
Since then, a jury panel formed by 15 musicians and journalists worked hard to select
the 8 hopeful artists that will battle in two semifinals in November, with the goal
of representing

Estonia at the North Vision Song Contest.

Rumour has it that a few artists that have tried in the past to represent the country,
including Johanna Randmann, Victoria or NION, submitted an entry to ERR.
It was up to the broadcaster to decide whether those entries were good enough
to proceed to the live shows.

Stay tuned for the acts' announcement, to be held at midnight!

North Laul 17 Final to be held on Wednesday!

That's right, the North Laul 17 Grand Final will be held on Wednesday, 25th November 2015,

at 19:30 CET - as usual - and will be broadcast live on ETV and on the Togethertube livestream!

Five acts will be competing against eachother for glory and recognition, but

most importantly, for a spot in the North Vision Song Contest #17, representing Estonia!

Around 65.000 votes have been successfully submitted to the broadcaster, which is

completely satisfying (given the effort put in the organization of the three shows), so

Boggi and me would like to thank you all for taking your time to vote in another successful edition

of North Laul.

The live show is going to last about 45 minutes, and it is going to be full of surprises and special

material videos, so make sure not to miss it!

Good afternoon, Rosanna, Tarvi and Kaspar, how are you?

Hello everyone, we're feeling great currently, thanks for asking!

So, one event is done, and now only the Grand Final is left. Are you excited for that?
How did you feel when Europe selected Estonia as one of the 10 lucky winners of the
First Semifinal?

Just one word...

THANK YOU!
(they're actually two)

But really guys, we're so grateful and just so thrilled, we're happy to be in the final
now and we're going to just give our 100% (completely no song references here) on stage
during the evening. We've received so many messages from fans all over the world, and we met
many of them at the local northclub events over the past few days. We even managed to take a
selfie with Blandine! So yeah, just thank you for everything, and we hope to have your full
support on the final night as well!

Many comments on the YouTube are related to these dresses you wore on stage during
the performance, and they aren't... really positive. Would you like to react to those?

The actual dresses got stained with

Tequila before the semifinal evening, and we
couldn't fix that in time. However, I want to thank our stylists team who quickly found a solution and saved
the situation! The dress I'm going to wear during the final was designed by DareDroid, and it will look like this.
You've surely seen it during our latest rehearsals!

Apparently, fans keep on asking who your favourites are among your opponents. Could you answer
to this question?

We must say we really enjoyed meeting our childhood idol

Bonnie Tyler and all of
the other contestants, but our hearts definitely fell for

"Nothing Left For Me",

"The Lunatics",

"Guillotine",

"Obnimi menya" and

"Dreaming Kind"; all of them are
groundbreakingly and transcendentally empyrean entries. But we love all of the songs that got into the final, really,
all of them deserve to win!

ERR releases NVSC viewing figures throughout the editions

Tallinn, Estonia - Earlier today, the Estonian broadcaster ERR has published
the viewing figures of the main television station ETV regarding the North Vision Song Contest.
The datas have been collected since the competition's first edition, but were
never released to the public until today.

In the graph, it can be noticed how strong audience involvement (thanks to
adverts, promo campaigns, and among others, North Laul) has changed the
viewing behaviour of the Estonian public.

The lowest peak (from recent editions) has been registered in #12, when
the contest was held in

Herning, Denmark. This is mostly due
to the country's withdrawal back then. However ERR still aired the
three shows on ETV.

The highest peak ever has been registered last edition in

Belgium.
Almost 800.000 viewers watched Würffel perform and achieve one of the best
Estonian results ever at the competition.
